Heating / air con system not working.
Only blowing cold air so room was absolutely freezing. Had to sleep in full tracksuit to keep warm.
Reception informed & they tried to reset it twice but this didn’t resolve the issue.
Portable heater provided by reception which helped to warm the room.
Disappointed by this for a 5* hotel and having paid £600 for 3 nights.

The location is excellent, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness and tidiness are superb, although I don't leave my room very late. A pleasant stay.

The decor was beautiful especially for Christmas. It helped make the trip that extra bit magical for my daughter!
The water pressure in our room wasn’t great and the bathroom was on the small side, but sufficient for a one night stay.

We have stayed at the intercontinental/George hotel every time we have visited Edinburgh. We have always enjoyed our stay but this time was excellent. Everything was at a very high standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Service at the breakfast table was useless but couldn’t fault the food it just took 30 mins to get a cup of tea organised at the table.

I liked the facilties and the room. The staff were there for our every needs. Scott was very helpful and happy to help us when we thought we lost our parking ticket.

Room was still not ready at 3.45
Unable to drink in lobby after been told bar is full and to wait in the lobby. Staff spoke to us like second class citizens. The bathroom smelt of damp and black mould in shower tray. The fridge motor was very loud the bed uncomfortable room right to the lift
