Hotel located in New Town with quiet rooms.
Our initial room had a small window facing a wall and was very dark. Extremely disappointing for the price paid. We could finally move to an other room with a view to an inner court, giving us some more light. No king size bed. The entire room and hotel is quite dark, lack of natural light which makes it even worse with the dark interior painting. We received a voucher for a drink, however we had to still pay for it as the voucher was apparently only for wine or beer, and not for a cocktail. Although in a quiet area of Edinburgh, the hotel location is also not the best.

Disappointed that staff at breakfast asked us twice if we wanted take away bags to finish our breakfast elsewhere at 10.20am when breakfast wasn’t over until 10.30am. Felt rushed out

The location is great and the staff friendly. Happy hour was a nice way to meet other guests.
Intially we were given a room that was small and looked over the garbage bins. When we checked with the front desk they moved us to a better one Definitely some rooms are more comfortable than others.

Gorgeous property, in a central location but set back just enough to be away from all the noise. Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. The spa facilities are great too!
