Options and standard of breakfast food was brilliant - everything I tried very good. Only thing was bit of a maze to get there, staff very helpful but also very busy. Only tried buffet, didn't have anything off menu. Hotel itself beautiful, nicer than pictures. Rooms super comfy and super clean.

The breakfast was mediocre more used to a 5 star hotel serving you rather than self service.

The Baba restaurant on site was very reasonable and the food was tasty.
The green restaurant served fabulous pizza
The room was small and you could not pass the bed without removing the chair from the desk.
There were only two lights in the ceiling. Too dark to in the room. No opening windows so AC all night to keep air flow and temp cool
The bathroom was so tight
The spa and pool were dark and small
The 5-6pm drinks were very poor and not what you expect from the Kimpton
The bar was dark and crowded at this time

Amazing service from start to finish. I had booked Kimpton because I was planning a proposal to my partner whilst in Edinburgh. Congratulated with a bottle of Prosecco to our room with a little thank you card which was a lovely touch and all of the staff were lovely. Room was beautiful and worth paying the extra for the studio room. Would recommend to anyone and would 100% book again when next in Edinburgh.
The only thing I would say which was disappointing was a comment made by one of the reception when my partner/new fiancé told the member of staff we had just got engaged. I was blatantly stood behind my partner as she was over the moon and the member of staff said " amazing news, who's the lucky guy". I had to actually tell him it was me. Seemed abit an odd thing to say.

Beautiful hotel with great staff who couldn’t have been more helpful. Rooms were great- super comfy beds and great showers. Love all the in-room extras. Hotel bar was lovely and breakfast was great.
