The hotel and staff were lovely
No bathmat in the bathroom which as result my partner slipped getting out the shower, ended up having too take my partner too the hospital the next day too get checked out and when I said too reception about it was met with very little resolve

Great location to Edinburgh shopping, Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle
No place to park your car to unload your luggage. Lots of stairs with no elevator. Room was warm and windows could not be opened easily to ventilate the room. No night light on the bed for reading.

The staff were super friendly and helpful.
My room overlooked the main road and it was very noisy. It also had a bad smell from the bathroom. I hardly slept and decided to cut my trip short. I asked if a refund was possible but they gave me another room. This room was at the back of the hotel and it was stunning!

We booked a Suite and the room was certainly large enough to be a suite.
Wonderful view out the window and centrally located.
The staff was pleasant and helpful, although they seemed to have to do multiple roles.
California King-size bed, but the bedding was only for a King-size bed, so the mattress and topper were on show. It made the whole look feel and look cheap, which the room wasn't
There was no fridge or safe in the room, but there was plenty of room for this to be provided. No plugs or charging points next to the bed on one side.
Breakfast - avoid it - we waited 30 minutes after ordering. And when it came, they had got one order wrong and it wasn't very nice. So for the rest of our stay, we used the cafe across the road, which was of better quality and cost less.

The shower kept leaking water but otherwise we loved the place and are so so thankful for its safe location. And thankful for the peppermint tea option.

The service was outstanding. Very helpful and charming. When I arrived I was given a room in the basement, fine, but
I would have preferred to be above ground. I told reception, they were full, Saturday, but promised to move me for my second night, which they did. This room was absolutely beautiful. Breakfast also excellent.

The wifi was weak or non existent. I had to ask for help to get the lamp and kettle to work. I also didn’t like the attitude of some of the staff. Very condescending.

The location was ideal very short walk to all city venues, cafes and leisure activities and shops. The hotel itself is very comfortable and decorated lovely.
Our room was very small and on the highest floor next to cleaners cupboard. No lift available and did not appreciate the steep stairs . If I had have been informed of the location of my room prior to checking in, I would not have booked.

We stayed here for the weekend, we were given a free upgrade where we had a huge double bed each, thank you! the hotel was only a 10 minute walk from Waverly train station, staff were very helpfull and friendly, the beds were really compfortable and the room was huge! We would definately stay here again.

Great staff, very welcoming and helpful. We have been accommodated in a room on the quiet side with a stunning view, however, directly below conference area where some event was happening and it was a bit noisy, but nothing that would ruin our stay. Beautiful breakfast. Overall it was good.
No safe, neither mini bar in the room. Hard to open the windows (only because of the architecture of the building). It was a shame that dining area was used for breakfast only. I believe hotel would benefit in opening a restaurant or even run afternoon tea.

The staff were all soo lovely and friendly upgraded us aswell. Everything was withing walking distance and tram stopped just down from the hotel .. everything about the hotel was just beautiful the outside inside and the rooms would highly recommend
The bar was card only but apart from that I couldn't fault it
