Great location. Friendly staff
Pillows too hard. We got back to hotel about 7pm but was unable to get hot drink which would have been nice to sit in front of the fire with.

This is our 4th time staying at the hotel and each time it has been fantastic, it really does make our trip to Edinburgh extra special. Friendly staff, comfy/cosy room, great breakfast and nice location.

Great location, nice room and hotel interiors, comfy bed, very good breakfast (I LOVE when hotels cook what you order instead of dumping a buffet).
Otherwise, very British hotel problems: extremely overpriced, dated facilities, coldness and dampness, windows draft, grumpy staff, problems with cleanliness (we found an hair in the bathtub, suspiciously looking pubic—didn't risk to use the bath after that).
