Didn’t have breakfast as had a neurodivergent child with us and from previous visits we knew the food he would eat wasn’t available.
The service charge being added to the bill on the way out. It should have been mentioned on check in.
No evening meals, bit of a disappointment.

I didn’t like the location of my room (60) siuated in the bar. Which seemed very strange and unpractical placed. I found it very noisy and had problems sleeping, I even heard the bar staff make cocktails with thier shaker. And there was a strange noise intermittently throughout the night which my daughter in room 68 complained about at the time. Overall I would not book this hotel again for those reasons. Very disappointed.

Staff were very nice and helpful
Very noisy function directly behind our room the room we were allocated should only be given to the party goers as it was impossible to get any sleep before midnight when the party had finished.
It could have been avoided by asking it we were attending at check in, this actually spoiled the trip as we were shattered the next day the manager offered us a room move which was accepted but packing up your luggage after being in bed for approximately 30 minutes and moving rooms was not the best experience and the new room was cold but quieter.

The facade was beautiful.
Bed was very comfortable.
Pillows were great.
Breakfast & staff were lovely & friendly.
A personal card & a Birthday sweet treat for my husband.
We arrived early & two out of three rooms were ready.
The hotel was difficult to navigate as signage wasn’t great.
Not many staff around for a 5 star.
I had a ‘lovely’ room as the reception staff told me,it was nice & clean but quite corporate feeling.
Didn’t like an ‘assisted’ bathroom,I had booked the 3 rooms a while ago so this wasn’t last minute..although I did request the rooms not to be overlooked by an office block,that was something I read on a previous review.
Party on until 12midnight,very noisy,although we were updated on the day that this would be happening & an apology by letter.
Chairs in the breakfast room were all damaged with material coming of the corners..comfy seats but a little scruffy.
No kettle in the room,had to make a cup of tea with the coffee maker so the water tasted of coffee unfortunately.
Our third room wasn’t ready on arrival(we were early) the lovely staff were calling me when it was ready…this didn’t happen.

We liked the roof terrace and the spectacular view
The room was not sound proof, it was situated close to the bar and we could hear voices, bar noise, cleaning noises, etc.
The bar staff took our order and we had to remind them 20 minutes later that we'd place the order!
We arrived early and dropped off our bags at reception, then went out to lunch, the guy at the front door took our bags (that we'd left at reception) up to our room before we checked in, this gave me the creeps that he'd been in our room with our luggage, before we had.
