Great location on the tramline from the airport. Safe feeling in neighbourhood. Warm and great breakfast, well worth including.Floor in bathroom was heated, a nice surprise! Staff very friendly.
Room detail needed cleaning, fingerprints on mirrors, spills on metal work, somebodys hair left in bathroom plus stains on bathroom wall. Signature room was on side where Edinburgh Street Food was trading. Quite noisy at night. Also water damage on ceiling, couldve been repaired/redecorated. Some whiskeys not available in Snug bar.

First of all, beautiful in all angles and lighting! Outside it looks like a cute castle mixed with the modern style of the city, blends in perfectly with the old and new. Garden was stunning, it was huge, well kept and just a nice extra touch. The reception was pleasurable to the eyes and made you excited the first steps inside! Then as soon as you get up the elevator youre welcomed to a nice dark oaky settings which was very relaxing and Im guessing themed this was due to the whiskey suits. All the little touches made it so elegant and just fun! Bar was warm, relaxing and Snug! :)
Maybe if the suit balconies had more privacy from other hotel guests, other than that was perfect.

The rooms are large, the facilities are perfect, and the staff are very friendly. There is beer and soft drinks in the refrigerator. The geographical location is excellent, and you can basically go to the scenic spots on foot or by bicycle. You can take tram to the airport. There are good seafood restaurants and steakhouses nearby. The staff are very dedicated and have integrity. After the elevator to the third floor of my room, I still had to walk quite a distance and go down the stairs. The staff helped me carry my suitcase throughout the entire journey. I forgot some cash in the safe, and they helped me count it and stored it safely until I returned to the hotel to pick it up.
Because the new building and the old building are together, some rooms require a lot of walking and going down stairs, which may not be very friendly to the elderly. There was some noise at night, partly from the restaurant downstairs and partly from children running around in other rooms.

The bar is not up to par with a 5 star hotel .
There is only a breakfast area ; no real restaurant. The breakfast brasserie should become a proper restaurant

Disappointing
The Glasshouse has a certain amount of style, and the roof garden is a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable, and the reception staff were pleasant and helpful.
First, we were checked in by mistake to a room that was still being prepared and were met by a hostile cleaning lady on entry. Second, when we went to The Snug for dinner, we were completely ignored by the two girls behind the bar. After 10 minutes of this, we asked if we sat down in the bar, would they come to us, to which they replied yes. After another 10 minutes of being ignored, we gave up in disgust and left. During all this time, the girls were busy with other customers, but it's unforgiveable that they did not engage with us in any way, by looking us in the eye and saying "Be with you in a minute" or "Sorry about the delay" or "Bear with me" etc etc. We were the only people waiting for attention and engaging with us on arrival should be a given, page 1 of How to be a Good Hotel Server. Very disappointing, and simply not good enough. Thirdly, the wet room shower flooded to the bathroom door because the floor dipped towards the door from the middle of the bathroom. This meant you couldn't enter the bathroom after showering without waterproof shoes.
