This is a beautiful and elegant old mansion which has been converted to a hotel. The staff were kind and helpful. We like that it is located a bit outside the city center, but it is located in front of the very convenient bus lines. It is so easy to get into town and back. Late checkout is a joy!

We were placed in the annex across the road from the main hotel. Very small room, thin walls, and very modern decor. Also need to cross a main road for breakfast in the main building. Full Scottish breakfast was also pretty poor. Not what we signed up for. Not worth the money

The decor, fixtures and fixings were all to a very high standard. The location and surrounding area was great with easy access to cafes and restaurants with the option of a short walk to Haymarket and on to the city. Onsite parking was convenient for a fee which was representative of big city location. The room was quiet despite its proximity to a main road.
The toilet was running constantly which was audible during the night. The room was nicely appointed being located at street level there was a lack of direct natural light.

Nice enough location and beautiful building. Also, yoga mat in the room was a nice touch (despite it being too small to do yoga). Some nice staff and some quite poorly trained.
Hidden charges were covertly added to the bill and could not be reimbursed on site. The state of the carpet was quite bad (stained), the shower door broke and the room was a lot smaller than expected, without closet space. Breakfast was expensive and not amazing and the outside terrace had fake (plastic) grass.

A truly lovely stay to celebrate my partner Jess's birthday. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish — every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The property itself is beautiful, with elegant decor and a real sense of charm and character throughout. A wonderful spot for a special weekend in Edinburgh and we'd happily come back.

The manager Zoltan went above and beyond with making our stay relaxing and yes would definitely stay at the hotel again., the other thing I liked was the great breakfast every morning with so much choice.
The only thing I didn’t really like was the evening meal, but then again we didn’t go for everything off the menu.
