Beautiful building, well equipped rooms with great staff and excellent cuisine.
Due to the unseasonably warm weather the room was quite hot, despite the fan provided, as the window only opened about 15 to 20cm.

The location was great, the beds were so comfortable, and the staff were lovely. I also really liked how the lobby smelled and the dining area was a beautiful place to have meals. The food was very good in the restaurant!
Our room was on the ground floor of their building across the street, and sometimes people would walk closely by the windows, which was startling. We also ordered room service and it was forgotten one morning.

Nothing. It is very far from being a luxury hotel. It is a scam
It was a scam, a confidence trick. It is masquarading as a luxury hotel. The annex where we were put looked like a hostel. It was across a busy road. The room was in the basement and faced an alleyway which could be accessed from the busy road; hence you could not leave the window open when you weren't awake in the room. There was no air-conditioning. It was not a double room. The bed was a large single and there was no room to swing a cat. The description of the room and it's amenities were false. There was no information about the hotel with personnel names and no fire regs in the back of the door. The main hotel was a fine Scottish building but they had laid astro turf everywhere, the front garden was scruffy and there was no waft if fresh flowers as you entered the foyer. This is definitely not a luxury hotel!

Bathroom ventilation broken, uncomfortable couch, missing bin in the room.
Breakfast understaffed and not sufficient seating capacity, some guests had to wait 30 minutes

The room was lovely, clean, comfortable and very quiet. (It was nice to hear the birds in the morning). The breakfast and service was very good too. The hotel is a little outside the city center but is just a short taxi ride or the bus stop is right outside. Great location for Murray field events and we would definitely stay here the next time we return to Edinburgh. It was a shame we could not stay longer and enjoy the cozy bar and cocktails.
It was all good and what you would expect from a top boutique hotel.
