Offering stylish bedrooms, an on-site restaurant and bar, The Roseate Edinburgh is set over 2 Victorian townhouses, on opposite sides of the road, in Edinburgh's West End. This recently awarded 5-star property is located within 550 yards of Haymarket Railway Station and 15 minutes’ walk from central Edinburgh. The rooms offer free WiFi and private parking is available. The Roseate Edinburgh was built in 1852 and still has many original features, including open fireplaces. The individually decorated bedrooms have Egyptian cotton bed linen, an LCD flat-screen TVs, tea/coffee trays with home-made shortbread and private bathrooms with free toiletries. The Suites include features such as 4-poster beds, freestanding copper roll-top baths in the bedroom, or sweeping views over the Edinburgh cityscape. The Dunstane Restaurant and Bar hosts all-day dining and daily afternoon tea, as well as gin and whiskey tastings. It serves a great selection of ales from some of Scotland’s micro-brewers and has over 100 types of whiskeys and over 30 different craft gins. It also has a food menu with local, seasonal Scottish produce. Edinburgh Airport can be reached after a 15-minute drive. There is also a bus stop opposite the property, which provides bus links to the airport and the city center. All Rooms & Suites prefixed with ‘House’ are located in The House Building. 35 elegantly designed, luxurious rooms with handcrafted beds and fine linen, 17 in the Roseate building and 18 in the Roseate House building.

Greatly overpriced. We had two rooms both in attic. Toilet/shower rooms were a cupboard . Couldnt shut toilet door if using wash hand basin. Bed against a wall under a coom ceiling so if needing to get up through the night had to climb over my husband. All this luxury for 500 per room. Asked to be moved but hotel was full. Manager said she had contacted yourselves and we would get a 20% discount refunded? Still would be expensive even with discount. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately since changed hand hotel not up to same standard. No fresh made to order breakfast, pre cooked sausage potato scone hard. Lunch seafood platter came without trout, caviar and sun dried tomatoes stated on menu. Reported this to staff after seemed unconcerned by it. Barman who serves very professional. Other staff lacking dont know how to deal with complaints. We told staff after lunch and check out they just said pass it on to manager. So response back to ourselves. Our room was 27 and toilet seat stained needs bleached. That would never have happened under last owner place immaculate, service professional. What you order you got in your plate. Breakfast was beautiful freshly cooked. Unfortunately our last visit to here as no response back about our comments.

We loved the victorian townhouse and old fashioned furniture! The bed was absolutely amazing and we had a good night sleep after day of travelling. The restaurant had good quality food! And the breakfast was best

Friendly staff, comfortable room and bed.
It was an expensive hotel and we expected a decent shower, which it wasnt, it was a shower over the bath, which wasnt powerful and was only an overhead shower. The bathroom was also very small Our bedroom window was also straight above an outside chemical toilet for people who used the garden to have a drink in use. This was a smelly loo & created noise. We didnt expect that given the price. I also expected breakfast to be complimentary.
