Offering stylish bedrooms, an on-site restaurant and bar, The Roseate Edinburgh is set over 2 Victorian townhouses, on opposite sides of the road, in Edinburgh's West End. This recently awarded 5-star property is located within 550 yards of Haymarket Railway Station and 15 minutes’ walk from central Edinburgh. The rooms offer free WiFi and private parking is available. The Roseate Edinburgh was built in 1852 and still has many original features, including open fireplaces. The individually decorated bedrooms have Egyptian cotton bed linen, an LCD flat-screen TVs, tea/coffee trays with home-made shortbread and private bathrooms with free toiletries. The Suites include features such as 4-poster beds, freestanding copper roll-top baths in the bedroom, or sweeping views over the Edinburgh cityscape. The Dunstane Restaurant and Bar hosts all-day dining and daily afternoon tea, as well as gin and whiskey tastings. It serves a great selection of ales from some of Scotland’s micro-brewers and has over 100 types of whiskeys and over 30 different craft gins. It also has a food menu with local, seasonal Scottish produce. Edinburgh Airport can be reached after a 15-minute drive. There is also a bus stop opposite the property, which provides bus links to the airport and the city center. All Rooms & Suites prefixed with ‘House’ are located in The House Building. 35 elegantly designed, luxurious rooms with handcrafted beds and fine linen, 17 in the Roseate building and 18 in the Roseate House building.

Really nice, I thought really reasonable, the small room was perfect for a weekend away/exploring Edinburgh. We found crossing the road easy.. not even an issue. Nice to be out of central Edinburgh so away from the crowds, but so near and easy to walk/train in. Breakfast was great, staff were kind.

Wonderful staff throughout, especially those on reception / front of house (Alexander, Mayaa). Excellent choice, amount and quality for breakfast. Great service at breakfast, very polite staff. Good bar, well stocked, reasonable price. The room (we were given an upgrade) was excellent, very comfortable with high quality furnishings etc.
The room could have done with a toilet brush. The only very slight issue with the bar was running out of port on the Tuesday night.

Travelled over for my partners birthday, arrived off an early flight. Met Alexander at the door, and he couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel stored our bags while we spent the morning around the city. The room was ready ahead of schedule, and we got an upgrade, which was a great suprise and made the whole experience more enjoyable. Breakfast was fabulous. Hotel staff were extremely professional and helpful.

We had a lovely time at the Roseate. The room was on the small side but not something that bothered us (as 2 friends staying in the same room) as space was properly utilised. Breakfast was delicious and staff were accommodating of my allergies. Cozy atmosphere and everyone there was great.
Only small note we have is that we were unable to order any drinks (non-alcoholic / alcoholic) around midnight as the front desk agent did not have access to the system.

Nice big comfortable and clean room.
1. Breakfast wasn't good. Luke warm and very dry items. Mushrooms were non existent in size. Felt like it had been kept in oven for hours. 2. Offered a complimentary drink on arrival so I had a beer and wife a wine then proceeded to charge us £23 next day !! Could have told us we would be charged. Not impressed.

Alexander did an excellent job. Highly professional. Sets a standard. That same level was not achieved by most of the other staff.
I know the hotel from the past under the previous owners. That level is gone. Clearly a hotel as part of a group. The individual touch is gone in terms of maintenance of the building and overall cleanness. The past was so meticoulous and irrespectively what Alexander is doing more than anybody else, he is not empowered and in charge of running a hotel.
