Located just a 1-minute walk from Princes Street, The Caledonian Edinburgh George Street's bars, restaurants and shops are less than a 5-minute walk away. There is free WiFi available throughout. Originally built in 1903 as part of Edinburgh's central railway station, rooms at the hotel each have a flat-screen TV, a bathroom with designer toiletries, and fluffy bathrobes, as well as unobstructed views of Edinburgh Castle. Guests can enjoy access to the Spa, including an array of treatments, as well as a steam room, sauna, whirl pool, swimming pool and gym. The Court, offering all-day dining, live music, afternoon tea and bar. while The Caley bar offers cocktails, bar snacks and vinyl music - it does not have tastings on offer.There is also an award-winning restaurant 1925 at The Pomapdour. The hotel was excellently located for the centre of Edinburgh. Historic building, spa facilities with gym and pool. Lovely Caley bar which played vinyl music. Bedroom, although on the small side, very comfortable.
The breakfast service was slow, had to chase staff to refill the water on two consecutive mornings, to request coffee and bread. We did stay during a very busy period and this improved on our third morning. Considering this is a high end hotel, bottled water in the room was only provided on the first night. Mini bar in the room was not stocked. This was the third time we have stayed at this hotel, in the past valet parking was offered and is no longer offered. I feel standards have slipped since becoming a Hilton hotel.

Hot water in toilet/bathroom need to keep it open for 5 minutes or more to get hot water. You need to beg so they get you water bottles to drink or they wont add any to the room even if you ask at night they will tell you to come down to take if you want lol sorry that does not happen in 2 star hotels in Dubai. Money not issue but paying 7 pounds for tray and extra 2 pounds just to order something cost 3 - 4 pounds wth is that i think the 7pounds for tray so do i take the tray with me since i payed for it? Lol

We’ve been here before, and it’s our favorite place to come, for a wee get away. I love the vibe, the staff are so friendly and the rooms are amazing! Staff made us feel so welcome and special. I really enjoyed our stay, and we had the best view!
