Located just a 1-minute walk from Princes Street, The Caledonian Edinburgh George Street's bars, restaurants and shops are less than a 5-minute walk away. There is free WiFi available throughout. Originally built in 1903 as part of Edinburgh's central railway station, rooms at the hotel each have a flat-screen TV, a bathroom with designer toiletries, and fluffy bathrobes, as well as unobstructed views of Edinburgh Castle. The staff were excellent at the Hotel very friendly and helpful and it was a Birthday weekend so they put the items my daughter had brought ie cake etc with her in the room before we went in , nice touch !
The wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this beautiful hotel , it was like stepping back in time very elegant , the only thing I would say realising that it is central Edinburgh it was the price for 2 days .

Our room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the castle. The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is perfect. Would definitely stay there again.
There was a smell of sewage in our room and the lobby of the hotel. There were not enough elevators to support the number of rooms/guests so we often had to wait long times to get up or down.
