Wonderful location, great room, lovely staff, really beautiful hotel.
The breakfast was pretty dry/ stale. I realise this was likely because we were there at 10am so things must've been under the hot lights/ out for a while, but for the price you pay (£70 for 2 people) you might be better going elsewhere. Staff lovely though

Room was exceptionally nice, very clean, nice bathroom and spacious room as a whole.
However, it would have been nice to have a turndown service and the small luxury of a chocolate each evening for the price of the room.
The service in the bar downstairs was slow and took over 20 minutes from ordering to receiving a drink one evening.

The room was l lovely size for a city centre room and was very comfortable.
There were no slippers in the room, even though the booking details stated that there would be. The hairdryer was so weak it would not have melted chocolate!
We had bottled water on arrival. When we asked housekeeping for water on the 2nd day, we were told that there was none in the hotel! We went to a nearby supermarket to buy some!
The bar that we were guided to in the hotel to have a drink in was loud and unpleasant. We went elsewhere on the second night.

The breakfast was amazing, fantastic service and choice, and as someone with allergies I was really impressed witht he control over the use of utensils when service yourself
A little bit noisy maybe with the music in the morning and no coffee area if you don't want to go to the bar in the evening which would have been nice.

Currently getting a facelift and redecorated. Looking great inside and out, the staff are always very friendly and welcoming throughout the hotel. Would recommend using the spa and pool facilities.
Only one lift working at the moment as they are replacing the 2 main lifts

Beauty hotel and room. We got a room with a view of the castle, which was a pleasant surprise.
Very well equipped room, you can feel the old atmosphere with modern amenities.
The hotel service wasn't up to par with one of the best hotels in the city. The people at the front desk joked and laughed while we waited to check in. Finally, when they finished talking, one of the women invited us in. I checked that the bar was open until midnight. We arrived at 11:20 PM, and the lady told us it was already closed and we could only order room service (but not from her either).
The room had very old windows, with holes in them that were practically see-through. This meant that the soundproofing was practically nonexistent.

The room was beautiful and the hotel was stunning looking
There was no mirrors in the bedroom for my partner to get ready. There was one chair for the table which was weird since it’s a room for 2. We were declined a late check out. We had to queue and wait approx 20mins to get in for breakfast. When at breakfast I waited my full time in there for a coffee which was a waste by the time it came because I wanted to leave. When in the spa, we were welcomed and told all facilities that they had to offer only to find out once we were in that the steam room was out of order.

We had a wonderful stay here. The location is great and we had a beautiful view of the castle. Rooms are so comfortable and big. Breakfast was really yummy! I want to give a huge shout out to Joseph who was so helpful and kind throughout our stay.

Great Historical Building, very clean and very well maintained , providing to you a unique experience, the rooms with the view to the castle are highly recommended.All the stuff was fantastic and very professional providing high level of services and hospitality.

Very aesthetic building, beautiful modern suite. Location is very central.
The pillows were very lumpy and duvet extremely thin, renewal required. The steam was out of order.
Serving staff within ‘The Parlour’ extremely rude and dismissive during our attempt to have breakfast. QR Directory within the suite advises breakfast is served 9am-11am when we arrived (10:30am) we were declined service by the staff, they advised I had read the information wrong. When I brought the directory to the managers attention she assured it was ‘al a carte’, it did not state this and she agreed and assured she would have the miss-print edited.
Breakfast included within price and refunded due to this mis information and un-informative staff. We checked out of this establishment starving and disappointed.
