Located just a 1-minute walk from Princes Street, The Caledonian Edinburgh George Street's bars, restaurants and shops are less than a 5-minute walk away. There is free WiFi available throughout. Originally built in 1903 as part of Edinburgh's central railway station, rooms at the hotel each have a flat-screen TV, a bathroom with designer toiletries, and fluffy bathrobes, as well as unobstructed views of Edinburgh Castle. The room was amazing
The wait for the lift was ridiculous. The Spa area was very tired. The swimming pool was freezing. Cocktail Bar the staff were annoying wouldn’t leave us alone to enjoy our drink kept coming over too much, cocktails were more ice than any drink in them.

Nice clean hotel, lovely room, comfortable bed, nice breakfast
Waited an hour for the room. Told check in was 3pm but given an alternative room at 4pm. Lift to spa out of order Instructed ro leave hotel in bathrobe and access spa from Lothian Road. Steam room out of order University ball taking place in the function suite so 1sr floor room heard the beat of .music until it finished

The staff were all amazing and so attentive, the hotel is beautiful and I love the nostalgia and attention to detail, we were given a free upgrade and had the most gorgeous view of the castle, I loved the free bottled water which was replenished daily and the room was spotlessly clean. As we were only there for two nights, unfortunately I didn't get to experience the spa which I will definitely make sure I do the next time I visit.
The only fault I feel I can mention is the bathrobes, they are a tad tired and were extremely good for exfoliation and maybe four biscuits instead of two on the tea tray as my husband likes a bit of shortbread and ate both

Beautiful hotel, staff very attentive, good breakfast, room very comfortable
Spa - very poor facilities. Steam room wasn’t working. Sauna is tiny as is the pool. Changing facilities too small and floor dirty. For the size of hotel it is inadequate and very disappointing. This let the hotel down and why I wouldn’t revisit.
