Located just a 1-minute walk from Princes Street, The Caledonian Edinburgh George Street's bars, restaurants and shops are less than a 5-minute walk away. There is free WiFi available throughout. Originally built in 1903 as part of Edinburgh's central railway station, rooms at the hotel each have a flat-screen TV, a bathroom with designer toiletries, and fluffy bathrobes, as well as unobstructed views of Edinburgh Castle. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. The water pressure in the shower was very weak — it was impossible to shower properly. Despite multiple complaints, nothing was fixed. As a result, the vacation was ruined. Very disappointed with the lack of response and care for guests. I cannot recommend this place.

Great service, beds very comfortable, rooms kept to a high standard.
We didnt put the do not disturb on the door so we did have our door knocked twice, once at 10am and once at 11am so they could clean our room but that was probably our fault.

Good location. Spacious rooms and generally quiet.
Our room was on the top floor, very small windows so quite dark. Television was not watchable from the bed, instead just a single armchair opposite it, where one person could sit and watch it.
