Very very silent place in a very good location
The elevator did not work and they did not manage to fix it even on the next day. There is only 1 elevator..

Located in quiet residential area but easily accessible to tourist destinations. Old building with great character.
Lift out of order on one of the days but luckily we were only on second floor and it was repaired next day.

Beautiful salons to while away the time. Great views over to the Firth of Forth to the north. Lovely breakfast room. The 12.00 o'clock check out is very appreciated.
A shower hose and a big armchair would be great.

Beautiful interior, lovely location. Staff in the restaurant and bar were wonderful.
I felt like this was a bait and switch experience. We booked the second level room and were showed to a downstairs “garden “ level room with a few of a shed and a window well. It smelled of cat. It was the worst room I have ever seen in 40 years of travel. When we requested a different room we were told the only thing available would be a suite with an additional charge. We did this but I would never have booked had there been any mention of a garden level room. Very disappointed in the hotel and booking.com regarding this.

We had a wonderful stay at The Bonham. Before our arrival, I informed the hotel that we would be arriving early, and the staff kindly did their best to accommodate us. On the day of departure, I was experiencing back pain, and they graciously allowed us to stay in the hotel until the very last possible moment, which meant a great deal to us. Every member of the team was warm, professional, and genuinely caring throughout our stay. Their kindness and hospitality made us feel truly welcome. Thank you all for making our visit so comfortable and memorable. We will always remember your generosity and hope to return again.

We had a lovely stay at the Bonham hotel. We booked a Deluxe Double Room which was clean and very comfortable, with views out the back of the property. We had dinner and drinks in the Bar Lounge during our stay which were exceptional. The hotel had a lovely sophisticated feel to it and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were able to hold our luggage for us when we checked out and went into Edinburgh before our flight. The hotel is a 10min walk from the West End tram stop so super handy to get to from the airport. It is also in a quiet, peaceful area of the city. The hotel is ~20-25min walk from the Old Town which we didn’t mind as Edinburgh is a nice city to walk around. Dean village is also behind the hotel and I would recommend a walk to that area. It is where the Water of Leith Walkway is located and is a lovely walk along the waterside. We will definitely be back at the Bonham on our next trip to Edinburgh!

Not a friendly hotel. Not guest focussed. Quite aloof. Felt like we were not welcome. We will not return to this hotel. Very off putting. Room was pretty but the sheets did not fit the bed and ended up sleeping on the mattress protector. Note, no aircon. Heating only an electric plug in heater. Not the best sleep. Breakfast adequate.
Lack of interaction with us during the stay. No friendly banter, no guidance or help (including finding our room) - Very impersonal. Dont seem to be guest focussed, rather just checking the boxes. No care and attention.
