We asked for a room with a walk in shower and reception got us a beautiful room. Very comfortable bed, incredibly quiet due to great soundproof windows.
Breakfast not worth £15 was like a typical US lower range hotel. Step outside to great local cafes instead.

We attended The Fringe Festival. This location was perfect. Most of the Fringe locations were 5 or 10 min walks.
The room was well designed. Just enough that we weren't on top of each other but not big enough that we could have a party ?
The bonus was the food and the gym! The breakfast buffet is very accommodating to food issues. There is something for everyone.
There are tons of restaurants to explore in the area. We never had a bad meal, and several were surprisingly excellent.
The gym was larger than I expected. A lot of weight and acrobatic equipment .. thank you!!
The gym could use a few more hand weights. It would have been nice to have towels in the gym.
But I'm being picky.

Location was great very close to Arthur’s seat and to downtown. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at hotel was great value for traditional Scottish breakfast right downtown.

Hotel was located in the center, easy to walk to any place you wanted to visit. Room was comfy and tidy. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Some gluten free options were available for the breakfast.
The lifts were not functioning all the time properly. The breakfast choices were quite limited and every day the same. We would have like more diversity.
