The Staycity Aparthotel was a nicely apppinted room with a partition wall for privacy for the main bedroom. Our son slept on a pull out couch that made the kitchen space a little cramped. It was a nice, quiet place.
One of the windows in our unit was broken and couldn't be fully closed.

The location.
The refrigerator didn’t work. The washer didn’t dry the clothes. Not enough towels for shower and for the kitchen. No pepper towels. The tea makes didn’t work efficiently.
No AC.
Terrible service.
The place is far from the bus stop.
Long walk.
The old town is 20 minutes walking from the place.
The apartment was very dirty, the elevator very small.

Spacious, clean rooms. Friendly staff with good service.
Filthy exterior - the rugs outside the apartment, the elevator floor. Looks like a dirty warehouse, not a hotel.
Interior of the apartment has parts from a wood like material that need renovation.
Some of the dishes were dirty.

Location is okay.
Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing. The property was poorly maintained, unclean, and had a persistent unpleasant smell. The corridors smelled bad, and our room had a strong smell of urine and cigarette smoke, making it feel unhygienic and uncomfortable.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable for two adults and two children. We requested a late checkout and it was granted for an extra three hours with a small payment, which we really appreciated. The location is good, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets within easy walking distance.
There’s no air-conditioning, though we managed fine by opening the window for the cool breeze. Also, it’s not quite within the city center itself — about a 20-minute walk or 10-minute drive to the main attractions. One suggestion: adding a sheer voile curtain alongside the existing one would let natural light in during the day while still offering good privacy.

Staycity was a great option for Edinburgh lodging! Walking distance to Old Town and restaurants. Lovely to have a washer/dryer and kitchenette after several days in Scotland. Bed and pull out couch made the accommodations perfect for our family of 3. Onsite parking as a big plus!

The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. They were very understanding of our needs as a women’s tour group, which made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. The apartments were spotlessly clean, and the location was peaceful, beautiful, and conveniently close to all essential services.
The only issue was that the elevator in one of the buildings was out of service. As the tour leader and guide for a women’s travel group, this was quite embarrassing for me. Other than that, everything was excellent.

It was really safe and organized. Have everything you need in proximity.
The only issue is the location is a bit far from center of city activities and the price was a wee high but it's understandable because pf the season.

It was exceptionally clean and all the kitchen utensils were top class. We booked two 1 bedroom apartments - one was extraordinarily spacious because we said we needed to accommodate 4. They had given fans which provided excellent ventilation in the rooms. Nothing to complain about.
It was not walking distance to royal mile or princess street.

It was spacious enough for us to be comfortable me my daughter and her son give us separate sleeping spaces and plenty of lounging room. The staff were super friendly and helpful don’t know them
It was a bit farther out than we wanted to be to be able to walk to the old town.
