Exceptional
The location was amazing. It was in the center of everything and very easy to get back to mid day to take a rest. Be mindful that there are a bit of steps to walk up with luggage but it was worth it.
The price was a little steep; but for the location and the city (Edinburgh is pricier than the average), it was manageable. The couch bed could be updated, the mattress was worn and not too comfy.

Located right on the royal mile you have great views up and down. Edinburgh castle is just 10 minutes up the hill, so you are right in the middle of all the action! Bagpipes bagging all day is a lovely soundtrack to the apartment. The flat was lovely nice bed. Huge pullout bed. Kitchen has everything you will need. Nice hot shower with no issues of temperature which made a difference in the sub zero environment! Overall a fantastic property. Snap it up if it becomes available!!
Flat took some time to warm up which I a giving with the weather. Good curtain management will help!

Location was amazing - right opposite St Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile. Incredible view from the windows right up to the castle. We were there in the middle of the Fringe Festival so the streets were buzzing with activity - it was excellent. The apartment is spacious with an excellent kitchen and very well appointed apartment, complete with Washing machine/dryer.
The entrance door at street level is very heavy and was sticking which made it very difficult to open. This could easily be fixed!

Location and facilities were excellent and as as described. Communication with hosts was easy and helpful. The stairs are definitely not for the faint of heart, however this is clearly advised before booking. Right in the centre of the Royal Mile. It can get a little noisy due to the central location, so if quiet is for you, this may not be the best spot but it didnt cause too much loss of sleep for us.

Situated in the heart of the City, as central as it gets!!! Cosy flat, well equipped, very nice decoration, tea and coffee facilities and any kind of kitchen utensils you can think of were provided.
The stairs replace your gym ;) (was mentioned in the description of the flat so we knew and accepted this)

The location is magnificent; you can have nothing like this one in Edinburgh. The view is amazing. The apartment is well facilitated and designed. The sofabed is comfortable. Despite located at High Street, it's not too crowded nor loud. The host is very responsive.
The stairs are steep and quite challenging; there's no lift in the property.

The location was excellent - right in the heart of Edinburgh and the Royal Mile. Was easy to walk everywhere.
This is uncontrollable! But the stairs were very narrow and my 71yo father had trouble navigating them.

1. The property has a prime location - close proximity to all major tourist attractions. Good selection of restaurants nearby as well. 2. Customer service was excellent, and the staff was very apologetic for the below inconveniences weve experienced - very responsive at late night and even gave us a bottle of Prosecco as a gesture of apology.
1. The stairs which lead to the property (3rd floor) are very steep and treacherous - may not be suitable for aged travellers. 2. The flat sleeps 4 with one double bed and one sofa bed. Not sure if its because the sofa bed was not used very often - it was not clean. The bedsheet, duvet and pillow have yellow stains on them - think they need to be replaced. 3. Biggest problem weve experienced in this trip: there is a hot water switch in the kitchen that need to be switched on all the time so that the water tank is heated for showers. However no one has told us this and apparently the previous tenant switched it off. When we arrived at 8pm trying to take a shower, we were told that as the switch was not on, it will take approximately 1hr for the water to heat up before we can take showers. Whats more, given its a water tank type of setting, the hot water was only enough for two people to take relatively quick showers (definitely not for three).

Close to everything, perfect for one. Busy area, but not intrusive. Downstairs cafe was wonderful. Walking distance to everything.
I almost ate it on the stairs a number of times. They are a bit treacherous.
