Overlooking Edinburgh Castle, the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is located in the financial district, next to the West End business and entertainment area and a five-minute walk from Princes Street, 1640 feet from Edinburgh Castle. The luxurious, elegant rooms provide free wireless Internet access, interactive satellite flat-screen TV, small sitting areas, and bathrooms with a separate bath and walk-in shower. The large air-conditioned rooms have beautiful furnishings and mood lighting. The hotel offered luxurious spaces throughout. Our room was perfect for our needs and the spa experience was just wonderful.
The in room provisions of coffee and biscuits was lacking. 3 guest and one person tiny packet of shortbread, replenished as one packet when used. Not in keeping with the rest of the hotel.

The property is in an excellent location, and the rooms are comfy.
When bathing the door didn’t seal so all the water went out to the bathroom floor, and it made a mess every time. Also, when having breakfast the plates weren’t clean, you could see all the grease or food that they were not clean well.

The staff were great
The room was badly designed with glass walled bathroom. Little privacy. The heating controls poor either too hot or cold. The lighting system confusing very small room not at all deluxe.

We were lucky enough to get a great deal for a castle view room, and it didn't disappoint! The room itself was spacious, location was ideal, right across from usher hall and about a 5 minute walk down to princes street. We made use of the swimming pool and sauna, although pool was a little chilly, it was still great. Service was fantastic.
car parking no longer is 15pounds as it stated on booking.com it has gone up to 25pounds a day.

Very clean and festive looking. Staff were very friendly.
The fact that if we wanted to use the hydro pool we had to pay 45 pounds a day extra. It was very off putting. Nothing was said to us in our booking about this.

The hotel is nicely arranged with friendly and helpful staff. Roms are pleasant and clean. It is perfectly placed in the city center with plenty of attractions around.
