We had a nice view from the hotel room. The breakfast was very good, and they also had good gluten-free options for my partner for breakfast. The hotel is right in the center and very close to Edinburgh Castle. A lot of the tourist attractions can be reached by either walking, taxi, or local bus network.
The hotel was rather expensive for what you get. The hotel room had some features, like lights that could be set remotely, but they would switch off by themselves. We complained about this, but the problem was never solved. The seating corner was uncomfortable.

The hotel is very comfortable. We visited the Spa which was exceptional! The room was really amazing! The bedding was so soft ...delightful!
The only thing that was a problem was trying to run a bath! The tap was a nightmare so I had to ask for help!
The staff were friendly. The breakfast was delicious.

The bedroom was good, the location was where we wanted to be, but the club room facilities were deeply disappointing.
The club room. The shabby seating was disappointing enough, but the food and its presentation was apalling, At dinnertime we were offered some disparate dishes, but nothing resembling a meal. There was a meat board, a fish board and a cheese board, none of which looked as though they had been assembled, rather simply tossed together and they were not refreshed,
