Disappointing
cheap and excellent location
Some parts of the room were nonfunctional; light on my bed didn't work, one shower was not draining properly, etc. Many of the staff were nice, but some had an attitude I did not appreciate as a guest. Dorm was close to the bar area which was busy and noisy until well into the evening. I did not personally mind this but sensitive sleepers might find it difficult.

We loved the location and the room setup. Very hot shower!
It was a bit of a maze and difficult to find our room. We also came in from another street, but other guests were just as lost as us haha. Come in from Blackfriars St and it may be less confusing

Creeky floors. Makes noise when you enter the room at night. Dorm beds should have lights, charging, etc inside the curtains.

We stayed in a dorm, but our beds were not together (one above the other). In addition, the charging outlets were only available for the lower bunks. As we both had upper beds, we weren’t able to charge our phones, which was a major inconvenience.

Superb location, close to the Castle and just a few steps from a bucketload of pubs and restaurants (and there is also a nice pub/restaurant at the hotel, with a decent number of items and reasonable prices). The staff were always friendly and helpful. It is a hostel, so don't expect all mod cons of a 5-star hotel. Our room was a tad bit small, but it was pristine clean, beds were comfortable -- would definitely stay there again.
They seemed a bit under-staffed -- there often was nobody at the front desk, meaning frustrating waiting times...

Great location, bar area was fun. Luggage storage is great.
No outlets or plugs by the beds. No age limit on guests, had very creepy roommates. Main elevator was broken.

Staff is friendly and helpful.
You should never have expectations for aohostels, but this one still shocks me. I stay in a 8-bed dorm, almost half of the beds have no access to sockets. That’s why you would see people sitting at reception charging their phones. Quite phenomenal. And this is just one thing that this property is far from something decent.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The location was fantastic – surrounded by tons of great spots to explore and an awesome nightlife scene just steps away.
The room was spotless; very clean and comfortable. Stayed three nights and slept like a baby every single one of them.
The staff was also super nice and helpful, it was such a good experience overall. I'd definitely stay here again!
I have nothing negative to say about this place. Had a great experience. Felt safe and comfortable the entire time.

Great layout of rooms, bathroom and showers were comfortable and provide great habitability in a perfect location. Vents were silent and effective, shower taps with temperature and flow control were brilliant, glass curtain were also nice, etc.

The staff in the reception and even in the bar and the fact that umyou can leave your bags before check in and after check out. The location is superb. They ate generous with their tissue supply. Their food was delicious.
It was really hot in our room. The room is not conducive for a family especially with kids and babies. The window is the type that you cannot open fully. The towels are to be rented. When we arrived at our room, we are the ones who put the bedsheets and the duvet covers. No complimetary water heater and coffee and water.

Bathroom light goes out when you're in the shower (movement sensor). Not all outlets worked.
