The room was clean and well managed. The cages under the bed for belongings were a great alternative to lockers with a lot more space. The location is ideal as well on Cowgate right in the old town. Would go again.
The keys cards for the rooms were quite finicky, that was pretty frustrating. They say they have a 24hr reception but I couldn't find anyone there at 6am which was annoying.

The location was absolutely perfect. It made getting around so easy, with everything I needed just a short distance away. Definitely one of the highlights of my stay!
Overall, it was okay, but unfortunately the noise levels in the evening were quite disruptive. It was hard to relax or get a good night’s sleep due to the constant noise. I hope the management can address this issue for future guests.

The location is perfect and the staff were lovely.
The room was tiny, no room for luggage. Beds were bearable but awful pillows. The worst thing was the noise from downstairs that went on throughout the night and morning. Then there were giggling drunk girls in the hallway and someone decided to use the hairdryer around 4am. I eventually fell asleep around 4.30. A good reminder of why I don’t stay in hostels.

Staff were very helpful, allowed us to store our bags and relax in common room when we arrived before check in. Gave us restaurant recommendations, was always someone at reception so felt safe coming in late at night. Location was perfect, a two minute walk to the Royal Mile and right beside plenty of bars and clubs.

We had a very nice welcome by a German speaking guy. Very good German skills. This hostel is right in the city centre from where you can walk to most main attractions. It was well equipped and clean, also not noisy during the night. I would definitely chose it again next time.
The room is small, which is expected for this very good price and great location. I would just add some simple hanging shelves on the walls so guests have the chance to store a few items.
