V close to the Princes’ Garden and other sights. V clean and comfortable
The room is below as busy street with buses. We kept thr window closed and it was fine. Needs double glazing.

This was a good location to walk to everything in downtown Edinburgh.
Room was not part of main hotel entrance. It had an outside entrance for 4 different rooms. After the first day i decided this was ok and it worked out well.

The staff were lovely
The decor in the room was drab and not like the advertising, the floors were uneven, there was no aircon so had to have the windows open which was noisy, it was very expensive and definitely not worth the money.

Great location, well maintained, full of history, had everything you need.
Handing the key in every time you left the room for fire safety reasons was a pain as we had to go back into the main building (my partner is a chief fire officer and didn’t understand it - he said you don’t tend to go to reception to ask for keys in an emergency!). But a tiny point. It didn’t impact.
