Disappointing
Lovely young guy at reception when we checked in. Nice spacious room that was clean.
Checkout at 11am but our flight was at 11pm. Asked to store our bags but were told they couldn’t be kept past 3pm. We then had to pay more money to book our bags to be kept in a nanny bag shop. When we went back to retrieve our bags an hour after checkout, they were placed in a large room with not a single other bag in site so there was plenty of space which made no sense to us. The girl on reception was very rude about the full thing and did not care. There was also exposed wire via a hole in the wall in our room and the heating barely worked( an extra heater is provided too) so the room was quite cold.

Cheap and cheerful really nice staff however rooms feel slightly dated,on a plus however great links into the city and rest of central Scotland,paid 100 for 1 night and all things considered (location and services) would say it is worth it, staff were nice

Wonderful
Lovely old building that has been well maintained. The bed was four poster and rely comfortable. It was very quiet and ideal location due byses and trains into the city centre.
The young guy we met when we checked gave us. Very warm welcome and was a pleasure to deal with. If only the night porter and the female receptionist were of this high standard, our stay would have been perfect.

Good location as happy to travel to get the City Centre having stayed here before also range of pubs and cafes nearby. Helpful friendly staff and a 24 hour manned reception.
Allocated car parking nearby as relied on luck being able to park close to the hotel, but appreciate this was difficult due to the hotel front being on a busy side street.

Great location to the haymarket station. The bed and pillows were comfy. Abundance of room heater options to pick from! Nice touch was the tunnock biscuits with our cups. And the free tea and coffee in the reception was nice.
The shower in our room wouldn't get hot, and we struggled to get the TV working, we had to locate where to plug the aerial cable into the wall socket which was hidden behind the curtain.

Friendly staff, the room was large and airy. The place was well kept and tidy. It was easy to find and close to town without us being right in town! The bed was super comfy and the room was well lit, there were 3 plug points free to use which was helpful. The chaise was also really comfortable and nice for when you dont want to sit on the bed.
The duvet cover may have been too small for the duvet and there was no buttons on it, so it only worked when tucked in, My husband is tall and tucking it in meant it didn't cover past his chest.
The heating came on at odd times. Probably as the heater was programmed but they switched it off at wall every day! So the clock never matched the actual time.
Television programmes were slim picking and freeveiw broke up so was not watchable. I did manage to find some limited programs on a player.

Nice and spacious room with great cleanliness. Great location, near to tram and bus station. Helpful staf even at night. Staf helping guest to take luggage to upper stairs because they dont have lift. They prepare complimentary coffee with snacks n free flow hot water near lobby

Really quirky and fun place to stay, the location was brilliant, so much to do around the area and easy walking distance to all of the major attractions with a tram stop on the doorstep to reach further parts of the city. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area, we travelled with lots of family and had 4 rooms and all were unique but all satisfactory. great value for money considering location.
The stairs to the room were the only downside - btu we were fit enough to manage just fine for 7 days!
