Our stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Edinburgh was truly enjoyable.
The hotel was very nice and clean, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and very well-designed, offering more than everything we needed. It was fully equipped with useful amenities such as an oven, toaster, microwave, and more, which made our stay incredibly comfortable.
In terms of location, the hotel is not right in the heart of the Royal Mile. However, this actually turned out to be a positive aspect, as it gave us the opportunity to explore different parts of Edinburgh while walking to the hotel.
Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel

The room was perfect. It was comfortable, clean, and housekeeping was very attentive to our needs. Breakfast was a bonus which included great options (salty breakfast vs. sweet). The hotel is located in an area that is easily accessible to main attractions in Edinburgh. Really liked that the hotel was essentially located on university campus.

Loved the proximity to the city centre - restaurants/shops/attractions were all within walking distance. Rooms clean and it was quiet at night. They have great options during complimentary breakfast.
The AC would turn on randomly at night in the bedroom which made it chilly in the winter season. I would use the remote to turn it off but it would reactivate on its own.

Size of my room, comfort, and it was a quiet area of the city. Easy walk to my work at the University of Edinburgh.
They collected 10 pounds for incidentals, which I found odd. I didn't use any and they said it would be refunded back..

The staff was amazing and always ready to help. The property was always clean and the rooms are tidy, spacious and ultimate level - from a design standpoint.
The radiator didn’t work mid vacation. The TV had 0 applications - Prime, Netflix or other apps. The only streaming app available was Samsung Plus, but you couldn’t fast forward or rewind.

The place was spacious and very clean. Beds were the comfiest. Modern and complete furniture.
One towel had a massive stain on it, very disappointed. The AC wasn’t turning on but the staff resolved this easily.

The breakfast was good. The area was very crowded. People bumped into each other a lot.
The gym was too small and had no towels and the water machine did not work. Also, there were no sanitizer wipes after using the machines.
The plumbing in our bathroom groaned and moaned.

Location was so convenient for walking around Edinburgh and the morning breakfast spread was incredible. The room was large and had amenities we weren’t expecting like a kitchenette and sofa.
A little on the pricey side but it was also Christmas time.

A little difficult to find but good location, short walk to pubs and tourist sites. Best breakfast we have had on the trip by a landslide.
They are currently renovating and we were in a older room. Ventilation in the bathroom needed some work as the shower toilet area we always soaking wet.

Wonderful
The room size. It is very comfortable. The hotel seems to be very new. It is well located, just a couple of blocks from the downtown. The breakfast and the services are good as well.
I guess that as a point of improvement is to include also lunch and dinner options, since somedays you feel tired and don't want to look for a place to grab a bite
