Location was great.
Rooms were not ready at check-in time offered a bottle of prosecco as compensation which we never received! We requested quiet rooms ahead of our stay and were literally next to the lift! Very noisy at night from pub. one of the lifts was out of order throughout our 4 day stay which led to long waits. Went to have a swim but told ladies changing room was out of action then next day sauna room not working! the fire alarm went and we had to exit the hotel via stairs I have a painful hip and this was a struggle especially when exiting the hotel over rough ground! This was a 65th birthday treat as we usually stay in a premier Inn or equivalent but was very disappointed with whole experience .

The location is very centerd and close to everything and staff was very lovely specially a women named Somer she was very helpful and nice
Wifi and connection was not good on our floor!! Very inconvenient, also the hotel is very under staffed we had to get our luggage by our self

Breakfast was ok. Buffet style which was disappointing considering its a >£300 a night hotel.
Been in less expensive hotels and had a custom cooked breakfast, of a better quality than here.
Air con in the room failed twice. Room phone not working so had to walk down to reception both times late at night to report it. Was hot evening and too noisey to keep the window open.

The location of the hotel
The room service is not very good. The only thing they do is make the bed. They don’t even take out the bathroom trash, and they didn’t clean or replace the used cups

We recently stayed at this hotel as a family. The location is excellent, within walking distance to many of Edinburgh’s key attractions, shops, and restaurants. The room and bathroom sizes were generous, which was a pleasant surprise
The windows cannot be opened, which makes the rooms feel stuffy and lacking fresh air.
• No connecting rooms are available, which is inconvenient for families.
• During our stay, there was an actual fire incident in the building. The hotel was evacuated, and we were left outside on the street for over three hours, while the fire brigade attended the scene. No proper communication or support was provided by the hotel staff during or after the incident.
• Housekeeping was poor, with only surface-level cleaning done and no real attention to detail.
• Housekeeping staff kept knocking on the door early in the morning, repeatedly asking if we wanted the room cleaned—even when the “Do Not Disturb” sign was displayed.

The location is right in the middle of everything. The front desk lady was friendly.
Our room was dirty when we moved the beds. The property wasn’t what I would expect for over $300 per night. The lobby wasn’t calming/inviting. My friend and I purchased two twin beds and they told us they would come move them apart. When we returned to the hotel around 9:30pm, they never did move the beds as promised. I called the front desk and said they couldn’t do it until the next day because there wasn’t anyone in housekeeping still working.
