The bed was extremely comfortable and the location was perfect.
The only criticism - the Chromecast option on the TV was a bit touch and go and it was hard to watch via streaming as the WiFi connection wasn't the best.

Location cannot be beaten. So central to all the sights of Edinburgh. Staff are friendly and so helpful. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped
The range of gluten free options at breakfast was disappointing. We ate breakfast at a lovely cafe called Cafe Edinburgh just across the road. It provided a full menu dedicated to GF foods.

I liked the breakfast Buffet. But we both were not well afterwards.
The bar stools were so uncomfortable and hard to move that we opted to go outside hotel for drinks. Additionally, we parked in the car park. The system has changed sinc my last visit and exiting the Car park we were unable to pay via the machine and the hotel reception was unable to take payment in the hotel.

We had been driving all day and returned a rental car to the train station, which was very stressful; so being warmly greeted by the front desk person and getting us checked in a little early was so appreciated. The location is great and beds were wonderful. Shower was really good too. We did not use the bar/restaurant, but it looked very nice. We were on an upper floor, and we did hear a little noise from the street, and it sounded like some girls were having a wonderful time at 3 am. If I'm honest, I am sure I did the same thing long, long ago. Luckily we got to sleep in both mornings, so it really didn't interfere with our stay.
The comforters on the beds. They were beautiful, but proved to be something that you throw off, then back on, then off, then on....all night.
