Disappointing
Location, friendly staff, cleanliness of room, comfort of bed, quiet room.
Terrible coffee from machines at breakfast. Tatty blind in room. Coffee and milk were not replaced. Basic tea/coffee facilities in room. Bar food lacklustre. Generally not up to standard expected of Radisson Blu hotel and definitely not worth paying over £400 per night (even at inflated Edinburgh prices).

Location
I booked and paid for a Superior Room with Hill View but was given a standard room instead. At first, reception insisted it was the correct room; when we showed them the Booking.com photos, they admitted those photos were not representative and told us to request a refund for the difference through Booking.com.
We followed their instructions, but the hotel then rejected the refund request. So we ultimately paid for a room category we never received. Mistakes can happen, but the contradictory explanations and refusal to take responsibility were extremely disappointing.

The hotel's location is excellent in the old city, close to all the events, but I happened to be there in August, which is known for its festivals, and this caused some noise at night.
My second observation was that the rooms weren't cleaned daily.
