Well, Well, Well. All in all, a great stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel. The very best part of this hotel, without a doubt was the staff. Absolutely the best staff I have ever had at a hotel. Breakfast was very good, but maybe a little day to day change could make it a little better. Room was good, a little bits need attention, but not a complaint. Was knocked up on the Friday afternoon by 2 staff who had an alarm raised that I was smoking in my room. I opened our door and let them in to investigate this alarm. Both were very stone faced. After checking our room for signs and smells of smoking, both left without a word or comment. There was no explaination, our conclusion to this. I found that a little harsh. At 2am on Sunday morning, the whole hotel had alarms going off. After getting dressed and going down to reception, I was finally informed that this was a false alarm. Great hotel, absolutely amazing staff, great location. I will come back, but the 2 stone faced staff might need a little more customer training. The lady who attended our room was on duty on Sunday morning. She passed me at breakfast. She made eye contact with me, knew who I was, and turned away from me. Just maybe a chance to say sorry. But sadly missed !

The location was excellent, the staff was very helpful, and I thank the employee who greeted us, gave us our room quickly, and then guided us through the celebrations. She was very kind, and I appreciate her efforts.
Overall, there are no downsides, but it might be advisable to make improvements to the hotel to attract more visitors.

Wonderful
This hotel has been very recently refurbished and it shows. It was extremely comfortable and tasteful. I would not generally have stayed in a chain hotel somewhere as touristy as the Royal Mile but it was a cosy oasis in a superb location on a busy "Murrayfield" weekend. It is expensive (but I booked late) but I still felt that I was getting what I was paying for.

The location for the mile was excellent and the beds were to die for.
There was no information on the site about it being in a lower emission zone, this ended up getting us fines as there is no facility to pay per day, if your car is not compliant you are not allowed in.

When we got the right room it had everything we needed. The location was also perfect for the plans we had for the weekend.
I had booked a twin room and was given a double. After talking to reception they rectified this by giving us the twin room I had booked. The only other thing not to my liking was the swimmingvpool was too cold.
