The staff was very nice and it was just a short walk to the Christmas Market.
No elevator, so if stairs aren't your thing, don't go.

The property was very central and was in walkable distances to all attractions you would want to get to in Edinburgh. The room itself was very modern and clear and the bed was huge! The food (both tea and breakfast) were exceptional and would recommend to anyone going to Edinburgh. The staff, particularly Louise who helped us with check in and our many questions, were very attentive and took care of our every need

Fantastic location, room was very comfortable and had great amenities (GHD straighteners and hair dryer, Dyson fan, nice toiletries), beds were very comfortable. I was surprised how quiet our room was given the busy bar/restaurant down stairs, but we were on the 2nd floor so maybe that helped.
Breakfast was great, staff were very friendly.
Having to walk through a very busy bar/restaurant to access your room was a little odd (and not easy when you have lots of shopping.
Our room (7) had a very noisy radiator and a flickering light in the bathroom.

The location, the food, the drink and the friendly helpful staff.
If I had to be very critical it was the fact that you had to go past the restaurant kitchen serving hatch to get to the door leading up to our bedroom. But this didn’t detract from our really pleasant stay and we shall be returning.

Location, cleanliness, great bar and the fact that they had ghd straighteners in the room!
The breakfast unfortunately was not great. We waited over half an hour for it and when it came all our poached eggs were hard!

All of the staff we spoke to were really friendly and accomodating. Our room was great and I loved the fact we got dressing gowns. The atmosphere in the bar was nice and the food was lovely. We would definitely stay here again!

The location was great and the staff were so helpfull and positive. Great restaurant and bar as Well.
A lack of Soundproofing and much noise from both neighbours and outside activities made it tiresome.

Location is really good, rooms are quite nice, staff are friendly and the breakfast is great.
I understand the rooms are over a restaurant/bar but for the love of good please invest in some sound proofing in the rooms or around the windows. Every morning without fail you will be woken up at 6:30am by the sound of bottle bins being emptied for the guts of an hour straight. If you're an early riser then not an issue I guess but otherwise you will need ear plugs to get a decent night's sleep.
Also the room cleaning wasn't the best. Bed was barely made and the towels were not changed.
Another small note, if you book a double room the bed will just be two single mattress' pushed together which is a bit annoying.
