The location was perfect for us to do the bus tours. The rooms were good size and the living room was a very nice big space to gather after a long day. We really appreciated the washer/dryer also.
The noise from Waverley Station was a little much at night.

The location was superb. Within 5 minutes- Waverly Train Station, Calton Hill, St James Square (great shopping), several excellent restaurants, a small convenience store, etc. I bought groceries down Princes Street at M&S, about a 10 minute walk. In front of PSS, city buses, tour buses, hop in/off buses stopped regularly. The closure due to the fire at the east end of Princes Street didn’t stop taxis/Ubers from accessing the area.
Apartment- I was amazed at the size - and lived the huge windows. The kitchen was well stocked and the hotel gift of a pint of milk was greatly appreciated for my first cup of tea. There’s also a large freezer under the fridge. I used the Washer/Dryer twice - so handy.
Staff - I found all staff working in reception to be extremely helpful and friendly, especially Miguel, Gary, Charlie and Collin. When I had a question, they gave answers. When I needed help with something, it was done or an option presented. It’s very reassuring when travelling on your own to have 24 hour reception.
The cleaning staff had done a very good job for my arrival. They also did a quick service every day which was appreciated.
Luggage Service - this was so useful! I was going on a tour the day I checked in so they allowed me to drop off my luggage early in the morning. I also used it the day I checked out.
A few suggestions:
- the bedroom had no mirror; the big mirror was at the far end of the living room. I’d suggest putting the same type in the bedroom. Women especially like to do hair and makeup with a mirror.
Travelers usually don’t want to read manuals to use an appliance. I’d suggest a brief written description left for each one, describing basic use. I didn’t find the description on the website to be enough, especially for the Washer/Dryer.
I’d suggest a restaurant- especially for breakfast. Also, a ramp instead of stairs down to the luggage room would be very helpful.

We did two short stays before a 3 day bus tour. Our first room was fine. Very roomy. Had a washer although dryer didn't work. Close to mall/food court and walkable to many things.
Dryer didn't work. Didn't get a dryer in our second room. Lack of plugs close to a mirror.

Great location and walkability to different locations. It was clean. The rooftop terrace had great views and we appreciated being able to get a drink and take it to the room to be respectful of hotel patrons on the main floor if it was late in the evening.
It was better putting gps coordinates into maps versus the address. Wish there was a lower street entrance but nothing we disliked overall.

As a family of four we love it very much. Close to everything, very clean, cozy and the staffs were wonderful. If we go back to Edinburgh we want to stay here again.
They have rooftop that oversee the city, very beautiful. We walked to the Royal Mile. Hop on hop off bus very close once we go outside the entrance, we can even take breaks between tours in the apartment.

Very comfortable space. Great convenience to have cafe/bar downstairs. Staff were helpful with a special thanks to Duncan for recommendations on shopping and transfers. Common area is a wonderful space for gathering.
Had some trouble with wifi. Bring a headlamp to read in bed.
