Located at the foot of the royal Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat, the Pollack Estate campus offers bed and breakfast accommodations during the University of Edinburgh's summer vacation. Each room on the campus features a free Wi-Fi, and shared laundry and pantry facilities. Some rooms also offer a TV and a safety deposit box. Linen and towels are provided in all the rooms. Pollack Estate is just 1.5 miles from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station and the historic Old Town, where guests can find the Royal Mile, the hub for many of Edinburgh’s festivals. In the mornings, an extensive breakfast is offered in the self-service restaurant at John McIntyre Conference Center. This is just 5 minutes’ walk from the rooms. Check in was very easy Rooms were clean Food options were good, especially the breakfast They supplied a Playpen for my 1 year old
Not many parking options Long walk to dorm & through dorm with luggage Rooms were warm, window barely opened and when it was open there was a lot of noise from outside

Very kind staff, amazing location and views
Dirty room, shared utilities, very noisy due to thin walls and door, window barely opened, tap in room let out dirty water at first, small bed, multiple bits of damage to the walls (including one large hole in wall above bed). Far too expensive for what it actually was.

Superb location by Arthur's Seat. Helpful staff. Clean, comfortable, basic room. Good value for July in Edinburgh. The breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice and very high quality. This place has a really nice atmosphere. I had a few problems with my keys which the team sorted out.

We wanted to discover the University environment and we enjoyed the campus life and the campus breakfast. And we particularly chose this location to climb up to Arthur's Seat, in that sense, this was the right choice for us. However the facility is a bit off from the Edinburgh centre, for the ones aiming for touristic attractions.
Rooms were really nice but needed better and more professional cleaning.

Buffet breakfast is excellent with lots of vegetarian options. The catering team clearly put a lot of effort into the food options. The room was quiet.
The twin beds in our room were fairly basic with thin mattresses and thin, flimsy pillows.
