Rooms were ridiculous and had me hugely regretting the booking. Pictures are misleading, of their best room maybe but the normal/ lower range ones lack basic facilities like a real window/ enough space to walk around. The staff were friendly and helpful, but it could not make up for the price we had to pay for such poor standards. Location and basic hygiene are the only real points they get.

Your location made it very easy to get around town to see many of the sights. I was also pleased that we were close to some very nice restaurants. The bed was very comfortable, the tea and biscuits were lovely.
It would have been nice if we could have looked out of the windows, but our windows had opaque glass in them. It was difficult to decide what to wear when you couldn't see outside. Also to have had the cost of breakfast included with the room.

Love the location, really close to the Waverly Station. Also love the sightseeing at night, really beautiful and had me come to realize I am really in Edinburgh.
Creaky floor sometimes gets my nerve but it was bearable. I was satisfied with the hotel in general.

Location superb with excellent staff.
Unaware room had no access to natural light. Having to carry bags up and down stairs to check in/ check out. Expensive for the room.

Breakfast was outstanding; the room was a good size for me as a solo traveler; it was a little warm so having the fan in the room was a big plus. The location was PERFECT - easy access to the train station, restaurants, the Gallery and an easy walk to Calton Hill. The staff at the front desk help me look up transportation options as far north as Braemar, the young man whose name I cannot remember (J..?) was especially attentive to my challenges reaching a car for hire.
Additional towel in the room to wash my face would have been nice but I was able to get towels from the cleaning staff.
Did not know about the beach.

Location. Room comfortable. Simple menu but surprisingly good food. We had steak and lasagne.
You are paying for location, which sits above a local merchandise store. We were the only people dining. Breakfast similar to Travelodge.
