Its an old building and can understand nothing perfect. But the AC/ heater air unit was broken in my room. I had to open the windows for fresh air.

This was the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in. I usually don't trust bathtubs but it was so clean that I took a bath in it.
The bed was also super comfortable.
It was quite loud at night as the room was right above the sidewalk area and there was construction going on. Additionally my air conditioner didn't work so I had to keep the window open for a breeze so it was loud.

Did not eat at the hotel. Lounge did not have a good selection of wine. There are better bars and coffee shops nearby. Great location, across from the Mound. Dishoom and Tiles pub are right around the corner -- recommend both. Room was a decent size. Hotel is old but clean and quaint, with discreet entry right off the street. Convenient to everywhere, train station 5 min walk. No complaints about the room itself.

Very disappointed by the amount of noise, loud music, from the shop downstairs. Bearable during the day but completely unacceptable in the evening and up to midnight each night of our 3 night stay. Everything else about the hotel is great but this spoilt it for us.

Staff were very friendly and very helpful with all our requests. We had been given a very small room on 6th floor with tiny windows. However, when I spoke with Barret (I'm unsure of the correct spelling, sorry) the following morning he went above and beyond the call of duty and found a different room with very large windows to let some air in as it was very hot during our stay (no air con in rooms, understandable as very old building). He also brought me up to see the room before moving us. Excellent service and would recommend to friends. Room, bed linen towels all spotless.
The breakfast was good, maybe a bit more choice in breads and pastries !
No bottled water in room on arrival which is really standard in hotels now. I was a bit surprised at this considering the price of the room for 4 days.
Sinks in bathroom very high, if you had kiddies with you they would not be able to reach the tap !
It could do with a lick of paint and new carpets in bedroom as they were a bit worn looking. It would make a huge difference to the overall look of the hotel.

Location of the room was stunning and the view fantastic overlooking the castle. But the hotel relies on this and neglects other services to complement, which is a shame.
The windows were filthy, obscuring the view. No fridge in room and only enough milk to make one cup of tea. No fresh milk no water. Sound of neighbours above at 2-3 am. Breakfast not included which is poor at this price. Sink was very high on stand very unusual. No plugs behind beds and for mobile phone. Hotel room whilst clean looks very tired. Very noisy as on Main Street.
