Location
The soundproofing of the room was awful, you could hear everything from the corridor and all the doors slammed. In additon the shower was an inconsistent temperature, there was borderline scalding everywhere and a lack of accessible plug sockets. Overall it was terrible value for money. Do not stay here if you want to get any sleep.

Elevator broken for the entire stay of 4 days and 3 nights with our room on the fifth floor. I understand that it can happen but as a sign of attention towards the customer I would have expected any signal from the property (e.g. discount on a next stay, other, ...)

My room was exactly as shown on the website and had an excellent view out the window onto Princes St. The shower had good pressure and lovely hot water. The breakfast buffet was very good; I particularly enjoyed the black pudding and haggis. I had dinner in your restaurant every night and was very pleased with the quality and selection. All meals came to me piping hot which was a nice change from some places I’ve eaten at.
This is a matter of personal preference, but I found the bed too firm. My hip hurt if I stayed on one side too long.

Very nice hotel with great location. Great views across Princes Street Gardens from the bar. Nicely renovated bathroom! Large and quiet room, only disturbance was the occasional group of people passing in the alley below. Considering it was a Saturday night I have no complaints abt this!
Too bad that there aren't more room with walk-in showers. Also, the lift doors closed very forcefully. I stretched out my hand to keep it open and still have a large bruise on my hand 6 days later.
