The hotel is steps away from Waverly Station. The staff were very helpful. Our room had a perfect view of the Royal Park. Enjoyed watching people in the Park. Really appreciated the staff suggesting an early cold breakfast delivered to our room because we had to check out before breakfast started.
Being on a major street means that busses and street cars passed under our window all night. Bring ear plugs. The room was attractive but tiny -- like a room in NYC. Just enough room for the beds.

Lots of stairs to even just get to the reception. Room was small for the price, and it was a bit loud from the street noise late at night.

The property's location offers convenient access to Waverley Train Station and major tourist attractions, all within easy walking distance. The breakfast provided was a basic continental selection, but it was sufficient to begin the day.

Breakfast was outstanding; the room was a good size for me as a solo traveler; it was a little warm so having the fan in the room was a big plus. The location was PERFECT - easy access to the train station, restaurants, the Gallery and an easy walk to Calton Hill. The staff at the front desk help me look up transportation options as far north as Braemar, the young man whose name I cannot remember (J..?) was especially attentive to my challenges reaching a car for hire.
Additional towel in the room to wash my face would have been nice but I was able to get towels from the cleaning staff.
Did not know about the beach.

Your location made it very easy to get around town to see many of the sights. I was also pleased that we were close to some very nice restaurants. The bed was very comfortable, the tea and biscuits were lovely.
It would have been nice if we could have looked out of the windows, but our windows had opaque glass in them. It was difficult to decide what to wear when you couldn't see outside. Also to have had the cost of breakfast included with the room.

Conveniently located in New town. Staff were generally very nice and helpful.
The restaurant staff were good and the food was very good.
Our room was extremely hot even with the small windows open. The room was on the sixth floor and others I spoke to that were also staying on the sixth floor had the same complaint. I asked on our 2nd day of 9 if we could get a different room or at the least a fan for our room but the manager on that day wasnt very helpful.
Due to construction very close by, it was also very noisy early every day.

Perfect location opposite Waverley Station for my onward travel plans
My room did not have a window!!! Not a chink of light at any time of day. The lack of natural air was awful, the aircon making it so dry that I woke several times in the night. Very uncomfortable!
