The location is great. Right on princess street infront of the train station. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. All major attractions are a short walk away. You really couldnt get a better location for edinburgh. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Hotel can be reached by a flight of stairs. Theres no reception downstairs. You could ring staff for help with luggage though. Just keep in mind that its not accessible. Room was also quite small. Bathroom was tiny.

Wonderful location, very close to train station and main shopping area.
The noise from the next building up to about 1 am every morning and then again at 6.30 am (ish). Very hard to sleep

The staff were friendly and approachable. The room was lovely, and I even had a bath ! The views were excellent. Everything about was excellent. Would definitely recommend it.
There was nothing to fault about the hotel or rooms, excellent customer service from all members of staff.

Superb location on Princes Street.
Very friendly staff. When a problem was mentioned it was dealt with straight away.
Reception is on the first floor with only stairs (no lift), so unsuitable for less able guests.
When we checked in they asked for a £25 deposit (on card) - isn't that idea a little dated and I would say unnecessary when the room rate was £138.
Hotel has single glazing so if you are a light sleeper take earplugs.
Overall our room was lovely but the hotel is a little tired in places.

The place was lovely, just as the staff. Location was absolutely wonderful and the room was clean and spacious, yet it was quite hot in the room.
The breakfast could have been more diverse by adding more options, they absolutely had the basics but that was it.

Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The noise level in the rear where we were was too loud. No lift to the 2nd floor reception from the street. Interior looked worn and dated. Bed was not comfortable.
