These stylish apartments are in Edinburgh, with views of the Firth of Forth and easy access by bus to Edinburgh city center. There is free parking, Wi-Fi and a DVD library. Ocean Serviced Apartments form part of Edinburgh's regenerated harbor area. The Royal Yacht Britannia and the shops, cinemas and restaurants of the Ocean Terminal complex are close by. The bustling city center with the famous Edinburgh Castle is a 15-minute drive away. Each apartment has 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 tiled bathrooms. The large living rooms have digital TVs, DVD players and comfortable sofas. Some rooms also have views of the bay, and facilities and services can be tailored to your needs. The fully equipped kitchens have ovens, fridges, dishwashers and washing machines. They open on to a dining area with a table and chairs for guests. Apartments are serviced and fresh linen and towels are provided once a week.

Wonderful
Heating and shower were good. Most of beds good, one however was very squeaky. Clean and tidy. Layout good.
Laking in cozy comfort, ie cushions and rugs as floor very cold. Unfortunately only one bus service that comes out to the apartments and on the days we were here was not running, however only 15 minute walk to the tram which takes you into Leith and town.

Great view from the living room. Easy to access public transportation. We really appreciated the help from staff with getting the WiFi working for us and quickly replacing a tea kettle that started to leak.

It was in a great area for walking to get groceries nearby, a great restaurant we went to several times, and it was great having 2 bathrooms ! Looking out the window and seeing the view of the ships and water was a big bonus!!

We both liked and hated the self check in ability. It was frustrating because the check in information was only relayed via email despite being hounded for all the pre-check in information via both email and Booking.com. Usually (99%), of all booking-related stuff is conducted through the Booking.com app with verifications and confirmations sent via email. However, once we located the check in information, throughout two or three different emails, the process was very straight foreword. The location is okay. You’re a 15-20 minute walk to a Tesco and some cafes and a half hour from the airport.
The service or agency that manages bookings is a nuisance to say the least. They email and private message you on Booking.com nonstop but only for pre-check in related stuff. After paying booking.com for the stay an additional £100 deposit as well as a picture of a valid drivers license was required before ANY check in information would be provided. The option to opt out of giving your credit card and personal information (drivers license) over email/internet is only an option if you’re arriving before 3:30pm and not utilizing the self check in option. Once I had provided them with both I was still receiving messages of the same copy and pasted prompt to pay the £100 deposit and email them a picture of my drivers license. I thought after submitting both, the messages/emails would stop. I was wrong. Finally, once, both were provided, begrudgingly over email/the internet due to us needing to utilize the self check in, I was only contacted via email about the check in instructions. All communications/updates via Booking.com ceased. Once in the apartment, a binder is provided. In it, it briefly mentions that you’re expected to leave the apartment as you found it, and if not, additional fees will be charged. When on vacation or whatever, the last thing you want to worry about is housekeeping like tasks. Please note, there is no room services of any kind, which is totally fine as there a dishwasher and washer/dryer, but again, if you’re on vacation and the last thing you want to worry about is having to wash your own linens and so on. Your only options are to pay a fee for additional towels/linens or purchase cleaning detergent and wash them yourself. Lastly, the hot water is finite. You only have 40 minutes from the time your hot water comes out of the shower head until your shower will be ice cold. I know most people don’t need a 40 minute shower however, if someone tends to take longer showers than most, e.g.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful. We really appreciate being able to leave our bags with reception during office hours before check-in. We were even offered the option of having them deliver our bags to our apartment if we didn't get back before they closed. The apartment itself was spacious, clean and well equipped. We did not really cook for our short stay but we saw dishes, pots and pans which seemed adequate for self-catering. Public transport was convenient, and there were a few good restaurants within walking distance. The view was mixed, a working port with cranes and storage as well as the Edinburgh castle in the distance and the Royal Yacht and cruise ships in the vicinity. It looks quite lovely at night. I would highly recommend it for longer stays as well as for families who need the extra space.
Perhaps the night light can be less bright but stay on for a wee bit longer. We agree with previous reviews about the fact that the doors will not stay open. If it is for fire safety, it is odd that hotels and other apartments seem to be able to circumvent this problem.

The apartment is located in a quiet and peaceful area, which I really appreciated as I prefer to stay away from the noise of the city center. It’s about a 3-minute walk to the nearest bus stop, and you can reach Princes Street in around 30 minutes. There’s also a large supermarket about a 10-minute walk away.
Cleaning service is only provided for bookings of 7 nights or more. My stay was for 8 nights, but the cleaning was done only once, which was disappointing

It was clean, there was enough space for our group and the kitchen was good sized.
We were traveling with a group of 5 and there was only 40 minutes of hot water. This made it a hassle when showering.
