Good location to the west, doesn't have to go thru Edinburgh city center
Paid carpark for hotel guest, small room, no bottle water in the room, too small size of room. Some wall plugs just dont work.

Very near to Tram and Bus station.
KFC and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are just opposite of the hotel.

Proximity to the airport.
We chose the location because of the proximity to the airport and the morning flight the next day. Unfortunately, there are train tracks under the window, so it is very noisy. However, if you close the window, it is acceptable.
The coffee machine unfortunately did not work.

Disappointing
I am writing to express my disappointment with the inconsistent service I experienced during my recent stay. Due to a flight delay, I arrived at the hotel close to 1:00 AM and politely requested a late check-out until 1:00 PM the next day. The front desk staff at that time kindly agreed.
However, the next morning, a different staff member insisted on a strict 12:00 PM check-out, refusing to honor the prior arrangement. Their cold attitude left me no choice but to rush my preparations and leave in an undignified manner.
I understand policies may apply, but reliability and consistency are key to guest satisfaction. Had I known the late check-out wasn’t guaranteed, I would have adjusted my plans accordingly. I hope this feedback helps improve communication among your team to avoid similar situations for future guests.

I have visited a few novotel hotels now and the service is second to none! Travelling with family so the cleanliness is the pulling factor, the swimming pool was excellent that was what kept the children happy and it was very well presented, sauna and steam room facilities, minor hiccup with hair dryer which was fixed by next morning!
Brilliant!
Perhaps clear instructions to login to wifi, in the room rather than at the elevator that was my only criticism cant fault anything else
