The hotel has an excellent location, just walking distance to Grassmarket and Victoria Street. It is clean and smells good. The staff were very accommodating and the best is the indoor pool and sauna. We enjoyed our stay so much! Thank you!
They charge for bedroom slippers.

The room was cold, the thermostat couldn't be adjusted manually as per instruction card next to it, but would be nice that clients adjust their own temperature in the future.

Location turned out to be quite good for many of the sights we wanted to see.
Overrun with children so the pool, spa and sauna, while also needing a bit of maintenance, was not enjoyable. We also only asked for linen change on one of our four nights and our bed was just made up with the same sheets, so I had to go get sheets and make it myself. The front desk staffer who helped was new but very helpful. Also the carpet in the room and multiple stains.

Decent room size, good facilities and breakfast. Good sized pool for a hotel. Nice new equipment in the gym. Good location for the university where I was for work.
Gym space felt a bit tight with more than one person using the equipment.

Clean comfortable room with excellent facilities, nice comfortable bed, shower excellent. Breakfast good and location good for attending event at usher hall.
Only issue for me was the set up in the bedroom with sink in bedroom next to bed. Ok this time as I was in my own but awkward when sharing room with family member.

I think the changing room for the ladies was far too small and no cubicle to get changed in . The cost of breakfast was far too expensive even though kids ate free .

The location was very convenient, it is right in the middle of the old town. The bed was quite comfortable and when we asked for extra pillows we got them very quickly.
For a 4 star hotel the rooms were extremely dated. The tiles in the bathroom and the grout needed cleaning, the walls were dirty and the wood on the door was chipped off at the bottom. The pool was very small. There was very little storage for 2 guests. The toilet was in a separate room to the shower/sink/bath which was quite inconvenient. There was a charge of £5 for room service, so when I ordered one glass of diet coke I was charged nearly £9

very close to Grassmarket and thus the bustle of the Old Town. to access the city, i walked almost every day down the beautiful Vennel with its stunning views, and often selfie models and instagramers, all smiles. the breakfast was a great buffet and the pool/hot tub/sauna were a nice bonus.
