Pool spa- Nice, clean. Shame the staff were a little slack in terms od enforcing the no children in jacuzzi rule. Other than that this was a real plus. Room- Clean, good size, comfortable, quiet, enjoyed it. Food- Eat there one breakfast (good), properly cooked, warm and stocked up quickly, one evening meal (also good) Bar- Not too bad price wise, staff friendly and efficient. Reception- Good, friendly staff. There was an error which said we had £15 to pay when we checked out but this was taken care of straight away, no issues, called us a cab when leaving, very helpful when arranging swimming. Location- Great, 10 min walk from castle and bus tram routes. Sleep

Excellent central location, walking distance to all sights and close to the start of the Edinburgh marathon. Great facilities, friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast selection.
Expensive, but all central Edinburgh hotels are sadly.

Nice building, clean, helpful staff, comfy beds and rooms. The pool area is nice, and open till 10pm/22:00, which is great after walking around Edinburgh all day.
Room windows don't open enough when it's warm. They only opened a few inches. No a/c but there was a small fan. (It would be better if they had two in a room with two beds though.) The pool area needs ventilation BADLY; I couldn't stay in there very long at all because the chlorine/chemicals were so strong they burned my eyes without even getting water on/in them.

Very clean and tidy. It was very nice for a family of three. I would come here again.
The sink, shower and bath were separate from the toilet. However, it felt cleaner like that, especially with a 11 month old baby crawling on the floor, so it was ok.

The room was very nice, good size but we had a suite. The small outside area with a nice view was very good to have the morning coffee. The breakfest has good options and the kids like the waffles.
I am not sure what the architect wanted to achive but mirror see tru doors at the toilet and shower I am not a fan. The restaurant needs a new cleaning tool as all tables where very sticky, which is very annoying.
