The room was spacious and breakfast was nice.
Staff on arrival weren’t as friendly as we have had at previous hotels. Mainly because we asked if we could drive into the parking area & pay for the 3 nights and we were told the car park was pre booked and full for the nights we were staying there. We told the lady on the buzzer we had a newborn and was it possible we could unload our baby and luggage in a safe space and we were told no and to pay at one of the parking pay & displays so we did this outside the hotel. And then worried about where to leave our car. When checking in we were asked did we want to pay for the hotel car parking for the nights we were there as there WAS space available??? Very odd and unfair to have made us struggle at the start for no reason. The pool was also freezing.

Thought breakfast may have been included in price. Stayed here couple years ago and breakfast was included and a lot cheaper. However we still enjoyed our stay and ate out.

The location was great! Parking was good with 50% off if you couldn’t park in the hotel carpark.
The rooms were cold. Especially at night.

Very clean, great location, staff were great, and the breakfast was excellent.
Very warm in the hotel, I know it’s winter but it was fairly mild outside during our stay, so it was really warm in the room.

There was a nice breakfast and the restaurant staff were very helpful and pleasant.
Reception staff were not very helpful. The hotel room was extremely small with clumpy furniture right by the door so we could not push our baby’s pram into the room without removing furniture. The room was also uncomfortably hot at all times and we could not cool it down.

Fantastic location,nice breakfast
We had a fire alarm at 3:45am,which wasnt great,but ai understand that the staff could not do anything about.The only critisism is that the phone did not work in our room,so I could not ring the reception when the fire alarm went off,but ppl were out their room so we had a chat at the corridor.Otherwise we wouldnt have known what had happened,why the fire alarm went off.So I think for ppl safty even though there is not a real risk the Novotel staff should inform the guests about any issue somehow.

Staff amazing and very friendly, pool very clean and hotel was clean and organized. The barn area is very cozy and well managed and the breakfast is 5 star. Very clean and tidy rooms and staff always on hand to help
The room we got was smaller than expected 2nd floor and no view. I had paid for city view and expected that to be included. The room was clean but not what I thought I had paid for. Was originally meant to be 4th floor but was put on the 2nd. I havebt marked my score down for this as the hotel staff were lovely but please know that if you get a 2nd floor room city view the cars will keep you awake at night.

Beautiful hotel, warm welcome, lovely clean rooms, comfortable beds
The lifts were a problem, the card thing doesn't work properly, people were going in and coming back out at the same place and trying again so you had to wait ages on a lift then when you pressed floor 2 and did the card it took you to a different floor ,

Location was great not too far from everything! Staff was lovely and lots to choose from breakfast.
Room: Had a double buggy was too tight to get in and out without struggle. Kettle was too low for kids to reach for a family room. Phone too low so had to unplug away from kids. The room wasn’t stocked up properly(no tea/coffee/water refill ) missing towels so had to call for 2 more again! or cleaned properly 3 nights we stayed definitely wasn’t worth £606 we paid we would have gone to premier inn right in centre. In total wasn’t fit for family room with young kids dangerous as things too low and not accessible for double buggy I really struggled getting in room due to layout of room. No baby changing in the pool changing room they do have changing facilities on the same level but really needs to be in the changing room itself.
