Breakfast was excellent- my daughter really enjoyed the make your own waffle machines and the waffles tasted brilliant. Excellent selection of buffet items too. Great location, very handy for Grassmarket, the Meadows, the castle, ghost bus tour and very central
The changing rooms for the swimming pool were tiny- there was only really room for one person to get changed at a time-this was awkward and disappointing. There were no complimentary dressing gowns and slippers which would have made this set up much easier- could have nipped back up to room to get changed after if there was a robe. Also the room layout was slightly unusual with a separate toilet cubicle with no sink it in- you then had to go to the shower room to wash your hands afterwards

Staff at breakfast we're continously cleaning tables which I was pleased with especially as they were regularly sanitising. Nothing worse than being seated at dirty tables. Our room was clean and modern.
I have mobility issues so having to park our car at NCP Castle Terrace wasn't ideal. There was no mention of parking spaces at the hotel being limited when I booked the stay (I wouldn't have booked the room if I had known) I received a email the day before telling us about the parking issue's. We stayed 20.11.25 it was for our 22nd anniversary. It was supposed to be a enjoyable stay. it was paticularly cold -3 in the evening the heating/air con unit you can't use to control the temperature of your room. You can only put the fan on in summer this will create a cool breeze in winter it may create a warm breeze opening the fans and changing the settings didn't create any heat in the room. I was cold to the bone and the quilt on the bed was paticularly thin maybe 4/5 tog. The mattress was firm i know mattress are personal preference but this was far to firm for myself to sleep. There was a good selection of food for breakfast continental and a fried breakfast the sausages were very bland and the temperature of the food was most certainly below the hot holding temperature required by law. The last issue i have is i booked a castle view executive room. The picture used to show the view isnt the view we got.

Super clean, great staff, good breakfast.
My room had nothing to hang my clothes or coat on. The room setup was actually quite basic, albeit fancy looking. The giant mirror door in the bathroom was one of the scariest things I've seen in my life.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel is very clean. And the amenities were easy to access. They have thought of everything even down to spare towels at the pool.
Truely?! The only thing for me was £9.75 for a small glass of house rosè. But there are plenty of bars, pubs, licensed cafes near by so wasn't a real issue.

The rooms were very comfortable, the selection at breakfast was great especially as we were away with children. With the added bonus of the swimming pool for the kids. The birthday treat from the hotel for my granddaughter was a lovely touch
We travelled as a family and requested that our rooms be close together unfortunately that didn’t happen, we were on separate floors

The room was so quiet which was fab and breakfast amazing! The staff were friendly and the young man welcoming us at breakfast was great.
The lack of dressing gowns when there was no cubicle to change into in the swimming pool. The loo without a hand basin was odd. Especially with a family staying. Had to wait for the shower/sink to be free so that you could wash your hands.
