We loved the location - we were able to see the Edinburgh Castle through the window. The room was clean and tidy with the Rituals toiletries. Since I adore the Rituals, it was an amazing experience for me. We had our two puppies with us, and the room was still amazing, even though it was a pet friendly room. The hotel prepared a little surprise for my son on his birthday. I didn't expect it, but he had a birthday card and some chocolates, both were complimentary. I did request the baby cot. It was kindly prepared, and I was informed well in advance that they do not have a cot mattress. I am unable to comment on the swimming pool as I didn't attend.
I would have loved to see smily faces of the staff in the bar area. During our breakfast, I heard some swearing in Russian from the kitchen.

Great location, breakfast was lovely. Staff very nice. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Pool was great for kids and jacuzzi and sauna for adults.
Would have liked more choice of fresh fruit like berries at breakfast. Only thing we didn’t like about the room was the separate toilet away from the shower room, this had no sink so you had to walk to the shower room to wash hands. Docking 1 point for this. Otherwise would stay again.

Lovely clean modern building and decor
The buffet breakfast was terrible. Food was always luke warm, bacon tasted as if it was cooked in greasy water, asked for poached eggs and they turned up hard boiled!!

Good location, quite central. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Rooms were clean and modern. Decent little gym.
Pillows were a bit too soft. Bathroom sink was too shallow. A few more vegan options at breakfast would have been nice (yoghurt and butter perhaps).
