First stay at the Novotel, Edinburgh Centre. We enjoyed our stay very much. Check in smooth and staff very attentive and helpful. Room was excellent, all amenities as stated. We were only staying one night to attend the Edinburgh 75th Tattoo so we really didn't have a lot of time spent in the room but it was lovely. Really liked the decor and fridge etc. Lift to all floors and the added bonus of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna was great too.
No complaints really but £369 for one night for two is pushing things a bit - you could have a week's holiday abroad for that but having been coming to Edinburgh for many years it seems that the prices over the past 10 years have risen year by year especially post pandemic. We have stayed in a number of good hotels during that time and the Novotel is up there among them. So as I said - no real complaints.

The most amazing stay. Bad time of year in August due to fringe and tattoo still got the most competitive rate from Novotel though. Room was amazing as were the staff and facilities. We will be back.

We were quite pleased with the Novotel. While not huge, the room was comfortable for our three-person group. It was clean and in good condition. The location was excellent -- very close to Old Town attractions while also being quiet.

Perfect location: walking distance to basically everything but very calm. The swimming pool was small but it was still fun to be there with kids in the evening. The breakfast was good and the staff was helpful.
The transparent doors in the bathroom gave little comfort having shower. There were multiple spots on the carpet floor that are likely hard/impossible to remove. Even though the room otherwise was clean but it was not perceived as such completely.

Great location just around the corner from Grassmarket so it was nice and quiet. Hotel was spotless. Room very modern and spacious. Loved the separate toilet away from the bathroom. We had a bath and a shower cubicle. Plenty of choice for breakfast which was self serve. Nice bar area and a nice selection of food and cocktails. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. There was a swimming pool and jacuzzi which we wish we had known about as would have taken our swimwear. But we know for next time. Bed so comfy, had 2 great nights sleep.
