For such a nice hotel one would expect someone to meet us at the taxi and help us with our bags. Also the reception didn't give us a map or basic info on times for breakfast.

Clean, great location, peaceful, good restaurant
No aircon in the room even the price for ok ne n ok ght was 240£, pillows were really bad and made our necks sore (3 people in our group and we all thought so)

Excellent all round
No information available in room regarding the pool & spa meaning that grandchildren were not allowed access after 11am.
If they had been told by the receptionist they could have gone earlier.

This was one of the highlights of our trip! The property is beautiful with sheep roaming all over the grounds. It is super close to the airport so I would recommend staying there for the last leg of whatever trip you are on. The spa was incredible and the food was the best we had in Edinburgh!
Super minor but the towel warmers did not work. Other than that it was perfect

The restaurant, the spa, and the grounds are absolutely top notch. The original structure (an old mansion?) is stunning. The room was very clean and comfortable. Our bell hop was incredibly gracious.
The parts of the hotel that were additions (look like two separate additions) to the original mansion are a bit maze-like. Meaning that it is a bit difficult to navigate. At one point I entered the hotel from the direction of the spa. I got lost and asked the cleaning staff for help. THEY even had trouble explaining to me how find my room. It took me about a full 5 minutes to get back to my room.

We liked having the choice of formal dining or the less formal bar dining
A wedding was taking place at the hotel so consequently the celebrations went into the night - sadly my daughter’s room was close to the music which didn’t stop until 1am!
