This was one of the highlights of our trip! The property is beautiful with sheep roaming all over the grounds. It is super close to the airport so I would recommend staying there for the last leg of whatever trip you are on. The spa was incredible and the food was the best we had in Edinburgh!
Super minor but the towel warmers did not work. Other than that it was perfect

The restaurant, the spa, and the grounds are absolutely top notch. The original structure (an old mansion?) is stunning. The room was very clean and comfortable. Our bell hop was incredibly gracious.
The parts of the hotel that were additions (look like two separate additions) to the original mansion are a bit maze-like. Meaning that it is a bit difficult to navigate. At one point I entered the hotel from the direction of the spa. I got lost and asked the cleaning staff for help. THEY even had trouble explaining to me how find my room. It took me about a full 5 minutes to get back to my room.

We liked having the choice of formal dining or the less formal bar dining
A wedding was taking place at the hotel so consequently the celebrations went into the night - sadly my daughter’s room was close to the music which didn’t stop until 1am!

The staff was kind and exceedingly helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The spa was so relaxing and a great way to unwind. The location was excellent for us as it was very close to the airport, but still felt secluded and peaceful. Both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were excellent meals. I highly recommend it!

The hotel grounds are lovely. The hotel is very comfortable. Food and service in the dining room was very good. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The ability to have our transportation to the airport early in the morning included in the price of our room was convenient.
The hallways in the lower area could use a refresh.

Luxury in every sense, with one exception
It is a Victorian building, so it perhaps is understandable that it doesn't have air conditioning. However... the window was not opened in advance of checking in and at that, it could only open 4 inches. Not enough to cool off the room.

Friendly staff, excellent food (breakfast was extensive and delicious), beautiful house and grounds.
The staff were all very helpful and there was always someone around if we had any questions.
The interior was clean and everything was well maintained.
The pool and spa was absolutely exceptional and was the highlight of our stay.
They gifted us a little box of chocolates too to congratulate us on our engagement which was a lovely touch.

Wonderful
Very lovely property with wonderful breakfast and good restaurant. We enjoyed being out of the hubbub of Edinburgh at the end of a 10 day trip in the UK. You need a car to stay here as you must drive to the nearby park and ride to take the tram to Edinburgh. Very convenient to the airport, only about a mile and a half away. Enjoyed the heated pool, sauna and hot tub. Would have liked another day here to just chill at the property as there are walking paths we did not have time to use.
Front desk staff was a bit cold when we first arrived but warmed up eventually.
