We had a great stay. Room was spacious and comfortable, staff just lovely, food at the brasserie in the evening was delicious and the setting is beautiful.
The only thing that didn’t work were the charging points which was frustrating because had to spend an hour at nearby petrol station charging. It something hotels generally need to sort. Happy to pay for it as an extra too.

Wonderful hospitality, great pool/spa, delicious breakfast buffet and while easy to get to from Downtown Edinburgh, the location was so quiet, it felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. Perfect!

The size of the room was excellent, the bathroom was beautiful and loved the fact that there was a screen with the bathtub! :D
The fact that I had to pay that amount when all I needed was a bed and bathroom and wasn’t going to be using the spa or anything else other than restaurant for dinner and breakfast. But this is not Norton Houses fault this was because another booking I had made suddenly wasn’t available, and I had to make a quick last minute booking.

The property is beautiful and clean. Breakfast was very good and the spa was very relaxing.
A shuttle bus to the main road would be good, especially when knowing events are running nearby.

The spa
The restaurant options and menu were limited. We arrived early and had two reserved rooms but the staff could not help to provide us with even one room to rest after our long flight.

We needed a hotel near the airport for a next-morning flight but this hotel could be a destination in its own right. The facilities are gorgeous, immaculate and spacious. Although we had come from the Highlands, and were not spending time in Edinburgh this time, you could easily stay here as a retreat and take the bus or taxi in to the city for the day. There are walking paths and a pool so we had a wonderful relaxing afternoon before flying out the next day.
It was all great.
