Set in a Victorian mansion in 55 acres of grounds, Norton House features a luxury spa, award-winning restaurant and boutique rooms with free internet. Located just outside Edinburgh it provided the perfect location to both enjoy the quiet as well as easily access the city. The estate itself also seemed quite large (would be careful driving back at night as 2 deer did run out on us when heading up the driveway). Beds were very comfortable and room was spacious as well as clean. There was onsite parking for guests which we always found easy to access. The hotel was also decorated beautifully for Christmas! With your booking you have full access to spa facilities which included a pool, spa/thermal pool, steam room and sauna. Treatments are also available at an extra cost, I opted for the 60 minute Elemis facial which was amazing (shoutout to my therapist Claire!). There seemed to be 2 onsite restaurants, can't speak for the one located within the hotel but we did dine in the Spa cafe which done delicious sandwiches as well as coffee. Would definitely recommend if looking for a short break near Edinburgh!
No complaints, we only had one issue which was the TV having no signal. When we found it wasn't working we did just opt to go to bed as it was late anyway so hopefully that issue gets fixed.

Good hotel and good value for money - we loved the conservatory bar staff are lovely and the trivia cards on the tables amused us while we indulged in tea and scones / evening drinks
No internal corridor to pool & spa - as it was raining the walk back was bit damp after a lovely relaxing time in thermal area no big deal on a dry day

It didn't state on the booking website times for swimming for children or any information about the gym so my 17 year old could not use the gym without adult we booked for facilities and couldn't really be used

Beautiful hotel, rooms comfortable and warm, lovely meal although the vegetarian option was limited. Good choice of breakfast, swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam rooms really good.
Our room was next to the air conditioning units that went off every so often. But the room was beautiful and comfortable!
