Nothing it was vertical standard
Never seen anyone apart from checking in. Rooms and decor very dull. No one to provide tea and coffee had to help our self.

Upon arrival, I discovered that the hotel was undergoing renovations, with extensive construction scaffolding erected outside the building. Inside my room, the pungent smell of paint lingered, causing nasal irritation and making it impossible to sleep comfortably. As a result, I was forced to check out early and rebook alternative accommodation nearby.

The property was under construction and hard to stay it’s even not better than sleep under the bridge no lifts broken doors metal beds

The staff were lovely and welcoming. The hallways were clean and smelt nice with freshener. The parking available.
The bed was so uncomfortable, I think I had about 4 hours sleep. The room was not very clean, rubbish and dust behind bedside table near plug, the bathroom had hairs and mildew in the shower, the shower was just about warm on the highest heat, and there was no power to it. The glasses were dirty also.

Parking was good. Also direct bus route into Edinburgh centre
Inadequate fire safety notice. Radiator on despite hot weather. Shower temperature not changed with shower controls. Annoying, loud gurgling sounds from panel at end of bed. Receptionist off-hand, more interested in his computer than arrivals at the hotel.

The room was warm enough, bed was comfortable.
Inability to turn on TV with remote control (or overall to turn it on, although the red light was there on it, probably the batteries were old), the room size was said it will be small (5m2) but, the little things like turning the little reading lamp on would make the atmosphere much more nicer and it would give the room more cozy atmosphere considering that from the outside was construction site on the facade. When I firstly have arrived with a taxi from the airport, the driver was asking me should she wait for me as it didn’t have any sign that it’s actually a hotel. We agreed that when I wave “thumbs up”, she’ll know that hotel works. There were closed doors and I was waiting alone while one girl from reception, instead of checking me in, said “just a moment” and was putting her clothes on, very calmly and without considering that she actually has a paying client at the desk-I mean, I know that working times are working times, but, can’t you quickly check in the waiting guests? At that point, I was already waiting 5 minutes and she said “goodbye” and went on her way. After 5 more minutes, one older gentleman has arrived and at that time, there were about 5 other guests waiting to be checked in, a group of Chinese people, and the gentleman at the front desk has told me that I can’t bring in people (?!?) probably thinking that I’ll accommodate the other guests into my small room (?)… I’ve said I won’t bring anyone inside, feeling like I’ve did something wrong because of his tone and no apology said when I’ve said they’re waiting on him like I do too. Morning next day was a cherry on top-construction workers woke me up early and I felt like saying something but I’ve just swallowed my pride and anger and went outside. The room was small which isn’t a problem but it is problem when I hear steps from the reception guy coming and going around on a squeaky floor, standing in front of doors and talking to someone, probably guests checking in.

Service wasn’t great and stuff members were not friendly, which makes stay in the hotel a bit uncomfortable from the first minute. The room was clean, but very hot. And there is no lift in the hotel in case if you are carrying heavy bags or anything else.

Disappointing
We were checked in a double room which was very small, the toilet wasn’t clean and the toilet brush was left in the toilet. When we informed the staff at the reception he just gave us a new brush and a cleaner in case we would need it. The double bed was meant for one person not two and was very uncomfortable.

The room was clean
the heaters are not working and no staff available. Only dining area was there , no kitchen and no option for drinking water. They put water glasses in bathrooms that’s the worst part. Nobody lifts the call in an emergency
