Very Good
Really lovely room with great views, the hotel is in a fantastic location, the staff are friendly and welcoming and kindly helped us with our bags after spotting us two doors down.
The bath was quite a lot smaller than I expected.

Great location, clean tidy room with nice decoration and high ceilings and all amenities. Located on a quiet street so no outside noise. Good breakfast. Overall wonderful.
The building is nice but old, therefore the sounds from the hall can be heard at all hours, occasionally being a bit inconvenient. Also the bathroom was really tiny but we did book the smallest room so fair enough.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We arrived before our rooms were ready and our luggage was already in our room upon our return.
Unfortunately our room was extremely warm througjuht the night which affected pir child's sleep as well as our own. The building is old and beautiful but ensuring the rooms have fans would be great regardless of the time of year. Our room was also at the top of the building with steep stairs and no lift. We were fins with this but we didn't find the need to go back downstairs once we were up!

Such a beautiful and spacious place - I really enjoyed my stay! The staff were lovely and made me feel very welcome. The room had everything I needed: tasty snacks, a coffee machine, and all the toiletries, which was very convenient. The breakfast was also delicious.
It felt a bit chilly in the morning - I actually woke up because I was cold. A warmer duvet would definitely make it more comfortable.

Really nice old building in a great location. It was a nice walk into Stockbridge high street, a little longer into Edinburgh centre. We had breakfast included an it was superb. Excellent selection and very tasty.

Anna and Kyle went out of their way to help me and change rooms which was looking out to a wonderful garden.
Room was really roomy and interiors were excellent. Lovely spa products..
Highly recommend and would stay again.. loved also location..
Stairs, but staff helped me with my luggage, it is expected from a lovely old building

Good location. The only member of staff that made us feel welcome was the night porter
Booked the junior suite for the jacuzzi to find it didn’t work! Staff on leaving none existent. A cleaner said to just leave room keys on desk. Passed receptionist as leaving, no goodbye or how was your stay

Location. But NOT a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination.
It was like staying in a DIY basement AirBNB conversion. Phone didn’t work. Heater was broken the first day. No outlets in tiny bathroom, tiny sink, mismatched everything (not in a cute way). Paper thin walls!!! Weird stain on ceiling. Patio covered in bird crap. VERY EXPENSIVE. Housekeeping left the patio door open twice and also through away our wine. NEVER AGAIN!

Wonderful
Gorgeous old terrace building in a quiet neighbourhood. Staff were very helpful, the young man who fixed our blind, reservations and hotel manager and Scottish bloke we spoke with about the restaurant service tax in Edinburgh of note. Cleaning staff were super fit hopping up all those stairs and kept our room tip top during the week. Easy walk to town or just down the street to plenty of little shops and eateries. Overall great stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
We were ok with the stairs but it could be difficult for someone elderly to stay at the top, but that’s part of the hotel. When we arrived it looked like the room had been empty for a while, it felt a bit dusty but cleaning staff kept on top of it rest of our stay so my initial unease was just that. Blind was fixed after a night without being able to close it but the towel warmer was broken throughout our stay, an update as to why would have been appreciated.
