Great stay at Hotel Nira Caledonia for two nights with my daughter — it exceeded all my expectations. Quiet location, an extremely comfortable bed (the best sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel), beautiful room, excellent amenities and a coffee machine in the room. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were very friendly kind. I loved the location of Stockbridge too. Overall score: 100/10.

The breakfast was amazing; staff were all lovely. Location was perfect for visiting in Stockbridge area and also not too far from Princess Street
The shower cold tap didn’t work so the water was scalding hot. Meant to say to staff on check out but forgot.
Room on 4th floor, there’s no lift but we were ok but just something to bear in mind for those who may have mobility issues.

The suite I stayed in was absolutely gorgeous, and sparklingly clean. The hotel itself is lovely and quiet, in an idyllic location in Stockbridge that was also an easy walk to the Royal Mile etc. Near to great coffee shops and restaurants. Reasonably priced (though I did have a Genius discount). I particularly liked the big fluffy towels and bathrobes.
Unfortunately the room was overheated and I had to open all the windows to try to cool it down. I had limited staff interaction but it was a bit hit and miss - some were absolutely lovely and others a bit dismissive and inattentive.

Fantastic location at the head of Stockbridge & everything you need is in walking distance of the hotel
The Spa suite was great & having access to the garden from the room was a welcome bonus if you were lucky enough to get one of the two rooms with garden access over a longer stay in Edinburgh you're going to be very happy
Staff were polite & friendly & nothing was too much to ask
We did not eat or use the hotel bar because we had a dinner reservation in a favourite edinburgh spot & came over the water for a date night

Would have preferred more than just the two complimentary bottles of water in the fridge & some additional coffee pods
Although told just to ask for more we'd have preferred to be provided with more to start with that's my only complaint

Beautiful hotel. Room was huge. This hotel is just outside the city centre in the lovely area called Stockbridge but still withon walking distance of the city.
Really nice staff.
Bar/breakfast area is well decorated and clean and tody.
Wifi superfast.
Sadly the restauarant wasn't open but the staff recommended a lovely Thai restaurant just round the corner.
