Beautifully appointed in a quiet area with access to restaurants and shops. Staff was top notch.

Great location, clean tidy room with nice decoration and high ceilings and all amenities. Located on a quiet street so no outside noise. Good breakfast. Overall wonderful.
The building is nice but old, therefore the sounds from the hall can be heard at all hours, occasionally being a bit inconvenient. Also the bathroom was really tiny but we did book the smallest room so fair enough.

Location. But NOT a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination.
It was like staying in a DIY basement AirBNB conversion. Phone didn’t work. Heater was broken the first day. No outlets in tiny bathroom, tiny sink, mismatched everything (not in a cute way). Paper thin walls!!! Weird stain on ceiling. Patio covered in bird crap. VERY EXPENSIVE. Housekeeping left the patio door open twice and also through away our wine. NEVER AGAIN!

The hotel is in a perfect location. Walkable to all the main sites yet in a very calm neighborhood. Would definitely come back to stay here. The building is beautiful.
There is no elevator which they had mentioned in advance. Walking up two flights of stairs that are crooked can be tricky but it was manageable. The bathtub with all its gadgets was aged and not inviting. Simple bathtubs would make it look cleaner.

Good location, nicely decorated and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
No A/C, which would be more useful taking the moisture out of the air than anything else. The room was very damp, curtains were wet due to the high humidity in the room. Also, that tub/shower is a nightmare to get in and out of.

A super area to stay, away from the busy streets of tourists. Definitely a hip place, with Stockbridge only minutes away full of cool cafes, pubs and second hand/charity shopping. The staff were also so helpful and accommodating.
The water pressure was too low in the sink.

I hate the lack of soundproofing. My room was on the first floor, and if someone is speaking loudly on the ground floor it feels like they're right at your door. I understand the charm of the old building and doors but it is quite annoying.

Staff at Nira Caledonia (Abi particularly) were wonderful. Room was lovely and bed was comfortable. The location was great for us. Close to lovely restaurants but still a bit removed from the hustle and bustle. Only thing that could be improved was the temperature of the shower which was a bit hard to get consistently hot but overall was a fabulous place to stay!

The red carpet was out for guests and the service matched. The room was beautiful. The shower had a rainfall head with 4 jets on the front. The room had space for two comfy chairs, one provided a view of the garden. Very satisfying full Scottish breakfast. The staff were so friendly and efficient. The young woman at reception is the nicest person I’ve met in any hotel. If you want red carpet treatment, this is the hotel for you.
I can’t find any faults.
