This magnificent Georgian townhouse features sumptuous rooms, each with a 42-inch plasma TV and slate bathroom. Among the cobbled streets of Edinburgh’s New Town, it is 2625 feet from Princes Street. Individually designed with unique furnishings, the rooms at Nira Caledonia feature luxury goose feather beds and goose down pillows. Some offer large, floor-to-ceiling windows, a private garden, or a relaxing spa bath. Guests can enjoy breakfast in their room. The restaurant and bar, serves fresh cuisine with Scottish, and often organic, ingredients. The bar provides a range of over 25 Scotch whiskeys. The hotel has 5 floors and there is no elevator. Repeat stay, same room type (Junior Suite). Perfect overnight stay for our needs. Massive room, warm, quiet. Staff at check-in remembered us from previous visit.
Minor things; 4 x espresso size cups for 2 people? Maybe 2 x mugs would be more suitable for tea provided and 2 x espresso cups for coffee machine.

Location: Beautiful boutique hotel in New Town area and extremely quiet. Parking: right outside (free at the weekends). Staff: great. Room: We were in the Junior suite room which was perfect for us especially with free room upgrade, really spacious & comfortable. Breakfast: great choices.
Minor things: 1. No where to plug the kettle in apart from on the floor, a longer cable or a little table at the side near a plug might be better. 2.The controls on the jacuzzi bath weren't working, power to control panel but pressing the buttons didn't do anything.

Would have liked a lounge area with sofas to sit on with a drink. There was a dining area & bar but think they could put a few sofas /chairs near bar

Gorgeous unique boutique hotel with super attentive staff. Room was fabulous, beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent but it’s the staff that made it so enjoyable.
