Location
Most of the things. They gave room for family in two seperate buildings. Breakfast was pathetic. Room was shaking when heavy vehicles past ot through the friont door. No room service. They kept a dead phone in their premium room. Breakfast was patheric. Overall a terrific experience

Wonderful
Very beautiful hotel, classic decoration in a traditional location. We stayed in a gorgeous room, high ceiling and very comfortable bed, also had a great bathtub. Breakfast was good, we got to choose a plate from the menu and could also pick some things from the buffet. Location is not in the city, but there are enough buses, easy to reach.
We stayed there in June and it was hot in Edinburgh (25-28C) and the hotel is not prepared for it as there’s no air conditioning. On the other hand, nowhere in Edinburgh seems to be prepared for the heat.

The Hotel staff were very welcoming on arrival and were happy to help, and nothing was too much trouble, even booked our Taxi for the next day, and made sure our table for breakfast was booked for the morning.
Our Room was lovely and spacious, the bed was huge and very comfortable, I, surprisingly, slept very well (not something I do well in Hotels), and the bathroom was lovely and clean, and the bath was massive. Always a bonus to have plenty of towels for us all to use too.
The breakfast was very tasty, and we also had a large choice of hot and cold foods, excellent for those fussy eaters of mine.
Nothing to do with the Hotel, I just picked the wrong week, it was very busy in the City and there was a famous gig happening too.

My family and I had a one night stay mid July at the Murrayfield hotel. It is a classic style hotel, with a great location / transport link into the heart of city. Our room was a standard room, but big enough for a cot to fit next to bed. It was clean and comfortable. We added breakfast on for the next morning for convenience.

Parking can be difficult during concerts, as the rear car park is often used for a pop-up outdoor bar. Please be aware that spaces may be limited and plan accordingly.
Paying over £600 for a one-night stay and still being charged extra for breakfast feels unreasonable. While it’s expected that hotel prices rise during concert events, charging over £600 and not including breakfast comes across as excessive and driven by greed.

Location as expected, comfortable bed.
The rooms are small. The bathroom was small with a tiny hand basin with a shelf above made it difficult to use.
Breakfast wasn’t good quality on one morning.
Focus was on the Oasis fans arriving the next day, first room over looked the outdoor urinals.

We were staying for a trip to Edinburgh and Oasis concert, from the moment we arrived the staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful (thank you Mo!). The bar and restaurant is the hotel’s centrepiece and is an excellent location for travelling into the city and just a few steps away from Murrayfield Stadium. The size of the room is small but the bed is comfy and the bathroom is spacious so makes up for this.
Our only issue was that our room was located right next to the courtyard and unfortunately we were woken up to the loud sound of barrels being moved around right outside our window but this did not affect our stay overall.
