Hotel was nice as expected, but it was the staff that made the experience, was met with Cameron on my first night who couldn't have been more helpful. Spoke with Lindsey the next day and her personality made me not want to leave reception, she also helped me out with some milk for my travel mugs for the next day. Just all round great vibes.

The staff were very welcoming. Lynsey booked us in and provided us with all the information we needed, we also received two complimentary drinks.
After a call to the Hotel earlier in the week, she also arranged for some flowers to be in our room for when we arrived as it was my partners birthday. The flowers they selected were a perfect choice.
The room was huge and way beyond our expectations. Massive ceilings, roll top bath, huge bed and all the appliances that you would need.
The location was ideal too, from where we were, it was just over a ten minute bus ride into Edinburgh and at 2 each you can't complain. A taxi cost us just under 15 which was ordered for us at reception. Beware, Uber wanted 25.
For anyone that hasn't been to Edinburgh before, Princess St is the ideal location to start each day, you can then walk to wherever you want to go from there. The bus takes that route which was a bonus.
I would definitely recommend The Murrayfield Hotel for your stay, particularly if you drive. You have free parking all week and you're not too far out of town.
Also just to add there are a couple of little villages just up the road both left and right of the hotel, all in walking distance that have their own bars and places to eat should you want an evening off from the hustle and bussle.
Our only criticism was that the drinks voucher only allowed for a bottled drink (half a pint), nothing on draft, yet the draft was the same price as my partners glass of red that she was able to receive free of charge.
You have the option to request your room to be cleaned daily which we didn't need doing but what we did need was the toiletries and milk cartons replacing which we had to ask for.
Nothing major on the grand scale of things.

The hotel was nice and clean and staff were very accommodating. Special mention to Lindsey from the front desk for being so lovely.
The hotel location was pretty handy to bus stops to the centre and airport which made our trip a smooth one.
