The proximity to all things and the Royal Mile was fantastic.
Our room was very stuffy and the only way to get air circulating was to open the window which made for some very loud nights.

Love the Greek yogurt and fruit. Perfect location for me.
Nothing could have been better. Travelling on my own, I feel safe at Motel One.
Seemed a very expensive charge for this visit but I was on my own overnight Friday to Saturday which probably explains this.

The bathroom in our room smelled very strong like urine.
No iron in the room was disappointing.
Our room was not available until almost 4:30p. Offering such a late check out for guests is only a good feature if there is enough staff to turn over the rooms on time for 3p check in. Nothing was done to offset the inconvenience.

The location and the staff
No bar fridge, horrible coffee in rooms which weren’t replenished adequately. A dirty cup was left and not replaced with a clean one and actual coffee and sugar not replenished one day leaving none. Lots of noise from laneway below overnight. Air con was ridiculous- not being able to adjust it is not great!

Right next to the train station - we walked there easily with our bags. Quick walk up to royal mile and the castle. Room and bathroom were huge by European standards! The Bar was great and didn’t overcharge. Originally booked mostly for the price but turned out to be a huge bargain.
