Comfortable bed, comfortable pillow (not the typical rock solid hotel pillows), excellent location, friendly and helpful staff.
I expected a little bit more, the bar area was nice (nice vibes) but the chairs were all over the place. I think it would be easy for bar staff or cleaning staff to regroup the seating to make it less chaotic. The room was a little smaller than I expected and I think more could be done with the decor.

Excellent location in the beautiful old town, steps away from shops, restaurants, and all the attractions. Very clean room with comfortable bed.
Minor things: would be great with a mini fridge in the room, and with this price they should also provide conditioner (and not just 2-in-1 shower gel & shampoo)

Every staff member I had contact with was lovely. Polite, attentive and efficient. There was one bartender in particular who was good making sure I was OK when another guest who had had a lot of whisky was talking to me. The guy wasn't bothering me at all but it was nice to be asked and to know someone was taking notice of what was going on especially as I was on my own.
Not a fan of the breakfast, I prefer a hot breakfast so I went elsewhere. I was quite disappointed with the complimentary toiletries, no lotion, hair conditioner etc. Just 2 basic washes although they did smell very nice. Not much of a choice of T-bags in the room and no biscuits.

It is however well located and its possible to walk to most inner city venues. The staff are very professional , friendly and helpful.
For £430 per night this hotel is not good value. The rooms are very small , there is nowhere to hang cloths apart from a tiny rack that holds 4 hangers and then if you use it the mirror is covered. Tiny bathroom and the windows are sealed so there is no possibility of allowing fresh air into the room . This hotel does not have a restaurant . Continental style breakfast is a help yourself frenzy and insufficient tables and chairs to accommodate everyone at peak times.

The location of this hotel is perfect, right in between Princes St and the Royal Mile. The Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and super helpful as well. I would definitely stay here again.

No cupboards or drawers . Shelves too high to use easily. Bin needed by tea stuff not bathroom . No glass/cup in bathroom for teeth. Not enough milk/sugar for teas required in room but reception very obliging . Shower towels too small!
