Small room, only continental breakfast & understaffed bar in the evening (we had a great barman but felt sorry for him as he was run off his feet) also very limited evening food available & no room service

Located in the thick of it, right below the cathedral and castle on the Royal mile. With only two nights we never got much further than strolling through that area.

It was clean and modern. The size of the room was decent and the staff were friendly. The bar was well stocked and had plenty of options on offer. It had a very good atmosphere.
Size of the towels were a little on the small size.

The reception and staff very friendly, rooms and bed lovely and clean and comfortable. Location was fantastic, close to tram , trains ,,shopping etc.
No glass in bathroom and the lateness of the room tidy on our second day after 4.30pm.

Great location in Edinburgh’s Old Town. Very central and just a short walk from Waverley Station. The rooms, bathrooms, and general facilities were clean and well maintained.
Check-in was unwelcoming, and navigating the hotel was a hassle, especially while pregnant and hauling luggage through confusing corridors with no offer of help. Our first room was tiny, with barely enough space to open a suitcase. Its only window looked directly into another building’s wall. When I requested a different room, I was told this would require a paid upgrade for a better view. I explained I didn’t need a view—just a window that actually faced the outside world. After some back-and-forth, they moved us to another room in the same category at no extra cost, and this room was much more suitable. Breakfast was underwhelming: limited options, entirely self-service, and nothing cooked to order.

Very complete and delicious breakfast buffet! Very clean room (with comfy bed and pillows) and bathroom!
A mini-fridge in the room would have been handy. Blockout curtains would have been appreciated.
