The location of the room was out of the crystal maze up to floor 5 then back down to floor 4. Lift out of order. Informal breakfast seating doesn't work.

Access to rooms is terrible, 2 lifts to get to your room and levels that have uneven levels so steps are required, with cases this is difficult

It is confusing that guests staying in rooms in Cockburn Street have to use the main hotel exit, requiring the use of the lift to the fifth floor and a passageway, which is not standard. Having an exit and entrance by card in Cockburn Street would be helpful.

Perfect location on the corner of beautiful Cockburn Street - ideal for Edinburgh Waverley station. Lovely staff who sorted my request for higher floor / quiet room & no problem leaving luggage until check in time. Recommended!
