Location was super convenient for visiting the city- walking distance from Old Town, the castle, endless shops/restaurants/bars, the train and multiple public transportation options, the National Gallery, and more. We found that it was right in the heart of the city but our room was quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the eco-friendly touches and the comfortable lobby/bar area.
You really are paying for the premium location rather than exceptional amenities, but we found the hotel to still be very comfortable and we really weren't there much when there is so much around it to see and explore easily!

Amazing location, close to the train station and most landmarks. Lovely staff, additional thanks for free luggage storage. Very clean, enough storage space.
There was no working ventilation in the bathroom and the windows could not be opened in the room, so the steam was a bit of an issue.
Also, some kind of repairs were in progress right outside my room and the noise was very annoying.

The location was wonderful because we were a short walk to Waverly to catch the buses as well as the tram. It was also located just one steep hill away from the Royal Mile. Staff was super nice and for a hotel it met all of our needs.
There is not much we did not like, we did feel the price for the room did not match the standards. However, overall, we would recommend and stay again.

Room clean and comfortable and staff were very helpful. Lifts very accessible. Hotel in a good place near Waverley Station
No view from window. Only paper cups for coffee and no biscuits. Only 1 chair for 2 people. Had a lovely view from window 2 years ago and was a bit disappointed as room was described as deluxe

Just few steps away of the Waverley railway station and the Waverley bridge where you can take the bus directly to the airport ,
I recently spent two nights in Edinburgh, dividing my stay between motel one royal and motel one princes
I would like to mention that the room at the first hotel was noticeably more spacious and had more windows, allowing for better ventilation which I particularly appreciated given the absence of air conditioning.
Both hotels are in excellent locations on vibrant, lively streets, but I did find that the soundproofing at your property could be improved.
Also, I was a bit disappointed that there was no mini fridge in the room, as this is an important amenity for me. Additionally, I would have appreciated assistance with my luggage upon arrival.

The room was spotless, quiet and the bed was very comfortable.
A phone in the room would have been nice as would water. Water is available at the bar but if you require any volume, then you would have to buy some elsewhere or pay £4 at the bar.
The TV is not a priority but it did not work.
There is no restaurant within the hotel but obviously plenty of choice around on the doorstep.
