Location was convenient
To get to our hotel room we had to take two elevator trips(up5 down 1) take 11 turns in the hallways, go through 3 closed hallway doors and cross a bridge. Also 3 small flights of steps. It was interesting but I would have stayed elsewhere if I had known

All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. In particular, Antonio in the bar made us feel very welcome and like we were special guests. The location is outstanding for getting to both the Royal Mile and wandering over to New Town. The view from the rooms of the Winter Wonderland was absolutely spectacular! The continental breakfast is very hearty and tasty.
Unfortunately, one of the only 2 lifts was out of service, which meant waiting a long time to be able to go up and down from the rooms - not only for us but the housekeeping service workers. Also, there was a light in the room that would not shut off unless the key card that controlled all the lights in the room were removed. A minor inconvenience, but still a bit annoying.

Wonderful
Great location. Room is on the smaller size but knew that when I booked. Shower was very nice. The breakfast buffet was nice. Was enough food and choices even for a hearty eater.
More pillows.

Central location to old and new town- stones throw to pubs, coffee shops and all the sights. Comfortable bed and quiet room.
Nothing really. Someone activated the fire alarm at 2 am on my first night at the hotel and we had to stand in the street in cold weather for over an hour. Not the hotels fault, but was annoying.

Cute boutique style lobby and lounge. Breakfast outstanding. Staff exceptional
Pillows like rocks, sheets weren’t changed. TV only had Dutch channels. Had to keep curtains closed as we could look rights into room across from us.

Location was very close to the train station and to the sightseeing we wanted to do in Edinburgh, which was really good for a short trip! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was convenient and they had lots of options, much better than most continental breakfasts I’ve had elsewhere.
It’s located on a steep street so if you need to avoid stairs it’s a bit of a workaround, which I feel like is pretty standard for Edinburgh considering it a very hilly city. The hotel does have accessible friendly access which was all located in the front of the building so it wasn’t super inconvenient, just something to keep in mind!

Eating breakfast is difficult due to awkward chairs and tables. It was a bit pricey, but we enjoyed our stay so I guess you get what you pay for!

I didn't realise there wouldn't be a fridge in the room or mini fridge. I also didn't know they had zero food (just snacks like bag of chips, candies).
