The location was phenomal. It's located on the corner of Cockburn St., which I didn't realize was a popular street in Edinburgh, and a short walk from the Royal Mile. It's also located right by a bridge that makes it super easy to walk to the other side of town. We had a rental car as we had just come from the Highlands and had a super early flight (5 a.m.). We were able to easily pull off on the side of Market street and unload our bags and get checked into the hotel. We ended up parking in the parking garage that the hotel offers a discount for (Q-Park Omni). It's a half mile from the hotel. If you book online and use the discount code, it's fairly reasonable (coming from someone used to Seattle parking fees). We paid GBP 35 for 33 hours. We moved the car to Market street the evening before our flight so we didn't have to walk to the car at 3 a.m. with our suitcases.
The size of the room and the bed was nice, but I think they put us in one of the worst rooms in the hotel locationwise. It felt like we were in a dungeon, we had half windows, it was dark, and the dumpsters were right outside the windows which created lots of noise with folks constantly throwing rubbish away. If we had been even one floor higher, I'm confident it would have been much better.

Great location. Lovely staff!
For the cost of staying there, I was surprised there wasn’t a fridge or an iron. We couldn’t open our smaller than regular sized suitcase as the room was so small.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Loved the lobby for a quick breather between sites. The shower was great! Loved having a big body pillow
Beds were a bit soft for me, but of course that is personal preference

Paid for a room with a view at the cost of over 580 for 2 nights and our view was trees and the rail tracts this was room 512 very very disappointing

Perfectly located. Quiet. My room with a view was wonderful.
The floating linoleum floor in the lobby was lifted up just before the stairs down to the exit. It was a bit dangerous. Some staff were less than friendly. Some were very nice though.

The room was spotless and comfortable. We appreciated the daily housekeeping service and free kettle with teas and coffee in the room. The bathroom was well appointed and clean
Great location and staff. The breakfast was a bit expensive at 20 pounds per person. More inexpensive options are close by with the Milkman Cafe mere steps away.
